9.8" Magic Arm with Super Clamp and Cold Boot Joint, Magic Arm Clamp Kit with 1/4" & 3/8" Thread Screw, Articulating Friction Arm with Cold Shoe Clamp Mount for Monitor, LED Light, Webcam, Action Camera
SKU: KF31.131S3
This is one of those accessories that ends up being more useful than expected. The kit includes a metal super clamp and a roughly 9–10 inch articulating “magic arm.” Both ends of the arm use standard 1/4" mounting screws, so it can support cameras, LED lights, microphones, small monitors, or other accessories that use a standard tripod thread.
The clamp itself is sturdy and looks professional. It opens wide enough to grab table edges, tripod legs, poles, shelves, or other flat surfaces. Rubber pads help protect the surface you’re clamping to and add friction so it doesn’t slip once tightened. Be careful about damaging what you attach it to--it will potentially attach with and apply a lot of force and torque!
The articulating arm is controlled by a single knob that locks both ball joints at the same time. Loosen the knob and the arm becomes fully adjustable; tighten it and everything locks down. It makes repositioning quick and allows you to dial in a very precise angle.
Construction is mostly metal and feels incredible for the price. K&F lists a maximum load capacity of about 2 kg (around 4.4 lb), which seems reasonable for an arm of this size. With lighter gear like a small LED panel, microphone, or compact camera, it holds position well.
***BUT*** keep in mind leverage. Even though the arm itself is rated for 2 kg, many camera hot shoes are not designed to handle that kind of load, especially when it’s hanging off a long arm. If you’re attaching this to a camera, be mindful of the weight of whatever you mount to it. It’s usually better used clamped to a desk, tripod leg, cage, or pole where the load is properly supported.
Overall, this is a very practical mounting tool for lights, cameras, or accessories when you need to position something in an unusual spot. It’s simple, sturdy, and surprisingly versatile.
Rating: 5/5 stars. Solid construction, flexible positioning, and very useful for the price.

K&F products are all good quality and this magic arm/clamp is no exception. Made entirely of sturdy metal both the arm and clamp are very solid when locked. When unlocked the arm bends easily in the middle and the ball-heads at either end can swivel at will. They also include a female-to-female 1/4-20 adapter and a cold shoe mount. This can be useful for mounting accessories like flashes, lights, monitors, microphones and so on to a camera or to a tripod or light stand. The clamp lets you clamp to a pole or tripod leg when a 1/4-20 mounting hole isn't available which can be good for mounting action cameras or lights to things like bikes, roll cages...etc. Once you tighten this securely it's going to stay put and not come loose. The only exception to this is the 1/4-20 threaded items, these don't have any locking or anti-rotation devices on them. Even if you tighten them really well, under-stress or vibration they can start to loosen, allowing whatever is mounted on them to turn. This is an issue with most magic arms. If you have problems with this, the best solution is to apply a SMALL amount of non-permanent thread locking compound to the threads.
Both the clamp and the arm are pretty solid and should be able to carry quite a bit of weight. However if you are mounting this to the hot shoe of your camera, be sure the hot shoe of the camera is sturdy enough to handle the weight.

These magic arms are raved about by all of the Youtube camera creators, and I can see why. This is very useful, and very well made for such a small device. The arm and clamp is 100% made of metal. There are no plastic parts, including the cold shoe mount at the base of the arm. The only thing that isn't metal are some rubber pads on the mounts and the C-clamp to help protect whatever you've attached to the arm. The crank to tighten the arm is large and easy to use, which is especially important for me because I have a condition that reduces my hand strength (it would also be useful when wearing gloves). The arm is sturdy enough to hold a mirrorless camera, as long as the lens is relatively small. It might hold a camera and a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, but I'm not brave enough to test that application. However, I use it with my small prime lenses with no problem. As a Sony user, I like the colorful accents because they match the orange of the Sony lens mount ring. Keep in mind, this is a relatively heavy tool for its size -- which is necessary in order to be this strong -- so I wouldn't plan on carrying this in a bag all of the time. But for specific uses, this is excellent. Overall, I'm very glad I picked this up.

The K&F CONCEPT 9.8" Magic Arm Clamp surprised me with how small it is. But that's not a bad thing. It makes it more manageable on smaller and mirrorless cameras.
As with most K&F products that I own, this is a quality product, well made and durable. It is not made from plastic--it is made from metal. And it feels secure.
This is a flexible arm that allows a number of positions and options. It can accomodate external lights. microphones and even perhaps small, lightweight monitor. Having an external grip clamp included is a plus.

Really stable and well done. With a single key you lock the arm and it's stable. I used it with the 12W RGB portable video light and they behaved great. I recommend them.

All components are made entirely of metal and look valuable. However, weight may be disadvantageous in some situations.
Magic Arm
In the middle joint of the Magic Arm, two corrugated plates press together. As a result, it cannot be adjusted completely without suts. Maintains the position perfectly after tightening. The wing screw is large enough and easy to grip.
The outer joints can be freely positioned. These do not have their own fixation, but are connected to the middle thread by means of a mechanism. First align roughly, then tighten slightly in the middle and align finely. Finally, tighten in the middle. At the ends, there are sufficiently long metal pins with standard threads. There are also locking nuts with rubber dampers, which can absorb excessive pressure.
Clamp “claw.”
The clamp is also made entirely of metal. The adjusting screw is also comfortably large for easy operation. The mechanism itself works reliably without snagging or rattling unnecessarily. The two different standard threads make them flexible to use without additional adapters. Securely attaching your arm to the clamp requires some practice. One screw is not enough to counter correctly, so that the arm can loosen again due to shock or its own weight. Here it helps to pay attention to a self-inhibiting structure. So that the thread tightens due to the weight of the arm. Alternatively, try an additional lock nut. Even though there is a bit little space for two.
It is a high-quality, great set that is easy to work with. Before practical use, it requires some dry practice.

Magic arms are a brilliant invention that allows you to orient a 3/4"-20 mount in the desired angle and thus be able to light where you want easily just by screwing a screw!
Whatever the brand, it's always practical and I always have a few of them of different lengths in my bag that I take with me on all my shoots!
This one is accompanied by a clamp called Super Clamp ideal for fixing accessories on round tubes such as tripods or others.
I highly recommend without reservations!

The manufacturing quality of this “magic arm” is very good. It's metal, it's sturdy, easy to use, and a coldshoe mount is provided.
The clamp will be able to hang on tubes of 15 to 50 millimeters in diameter, or pinch a surface, such as a table top, for example. It has screw threads in 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch formats, so it can be used with many accessories from the world of image, but also sound. I tested it with goosenecks and dynamic microphones, and it works very well.
The articulated arm has 1/4 inch screws at each end. Its operation is simple: you unscrew in the center and everything becomes adjustable, you screw back and everything becomes rigid. We will attach it to the clamp (or other supports) and hang compatible peripherals and accessories within a limit of 2 kilos. Tested with a DSLR equipped with a 300mm telephoto lens, it doesn't move a bit as long as you stay “level”.
And that is finally the only complaint I can make of him. As quarter-inch supports do not have locking pins, the use will be limited to maintaining very light equipment in any position, or heavier equipment as long as it stays straight, otherwise it may unscrew by itself under its own weight. This is all the more a shame since the clamp is compatible since it has small holes around the screw threads. But it's not hidden, we know what we're buying, so I'm not taking any stars off.
In the end, I am satisfied with this muscular little arm. The build quality is very good, it is solid and frankly practical. Sold for €37, it's an investment, but its quality/price ratio is justified by a design that is a bit more upscale and that has the arguments to verify it.
