This camera accessory was selected to complement a tabletop photographic workspace. Specifically, to be used as a light holder that attaches an LED floodlight weighing 1lb 6 oz to a tabletop with a depth of 1.5 inches. The claw clamp has rubberized antiskid pads that gripped the painted table edge well without scratching the painted surface of the table. Except for the antiskid pads, the whole unit is metal, which speaks to its durability with repeated use as opposed to plastic parts. The “magic arm” feature is that with the tightening of the central “T” handle, three pivot points are simultaneously locked in place, allowing quick and flexible placement of attachments in a spherical space within 10 inches of the arm. I suggest you take the time to explore using the lock nut that mates to the clamp. I was using a DJI pocket 3 battery unit attached with the 1/4 inch post on the arm, and the whole arm kept rolling to the left when 35 degrees off vertical, even though the central clamp was tight. The arm was working perfectly; it was just that the lock nut was not secured well enough, and it was loosening with the torque of the now-weighted arm and not because of the ball joint.
Add-on uses: Holding a laser pointer cage for night photography, holding a phone clamp for blogging, and it could hold a shotgun microphone.
Opinion: This unit provides flexibility for the placement of photography accessories for your work. It appears to be well constructed. While not shown, the thumbscrew on the bottom of the cold shoe is removable, which means that you can use it elsewhere in a pinch, as it will allow you to mate two ¼ inch posts together. This arm would be a useful addition to anyone's photo gear.

This arm truly is magic. I've owned many action cam and filmmaking accessory cam arms throughout the years, but what impresses me the most about this arm is that it can be locked smoothly and easily with just a few twists of the orange knob in the center of the arm. Turning this knob not only locks the main joint but also the pivoting ball ends of either side of the arm. That means you can simply loosen the knob, move your attached light/cam/microphone/etc precisely into the direction and angle you want, and then turn the knob to fix everything firm. This is a testament to how well machined the metal components are. I also appreciate the cold shoe-to-1/4" male and 1/4" female-to-female included adapters!

While it doesn't exactly stand out as anything special compared to other magic arms, it is made well and looks great. It's a orange and black color scheme that's close in line to Sony's colors, so that's neat looking.

Something really fun with it is it makes a great makeshift top handle for video in a pinch for a small mirrorless camera. Just put it on top and twist it into place and it's a perfect feeling handle that can be adjusted to whatever angle feels most natural. It's also a really great way to get low angle shots on a tripods or anything you can put the grip around.

The grip works well, has nice closing action while not being too heavy where it's annoying to use.

As with many other magic arms, the skies the limit when it comes to what you can use it for once you take the heads/clamp off. Mounting on and to options are a plenty, but it is a smaller arm set so think more small accessories and action cameras. I wouldn't put anything heavier than an slr with a prime lens on this.
Quick makeshift top handle for video shooters, works well.

I’ve used a lot of K&F Concept accessories over the years, and this 9.8" magic arm is right in line with their usual quality. It’s made of solid aluminum, feels sturdy in hand, and locks down tightly once you dial it in.

The dual 360° ball heads make it easy to position a mic, small LED light, or monitor exactly where you want it. It comes with a super clamp and a cold shoe mount, so you can attach it directly to a camera cage, tripod, desk, pole, or even clamp it onto a travel tripod leg and extend an accessory out from there. Tons of practical uses for customizing your setup.

Everything uses standard 1/4" threads, so it’s compatible with pretty much any common camera accessory. The anti-slip pads on the clamp help protect surfaces and keep it from shifting. For lightweight to moderate accessories, it holds firm and feels very secure.

At this price point, it’s a great addition to any photo or video kit if you want more flexibility in how you mount your gear.

I'm really excited about this Magic Arm Set from K&F Concept after playing around with it a bit! Great set, super versatile
Here you get a “Magic Arm” with a joint in the middle and two ball joints with 1/4 inch screw at both ends, as well as a 1/4 inch screw spacer adapter with hot shoe mounting screws and a clamp (for handlebars etc.).
There is nothing wrong with the quality of materials and workmanship. The parts are made of metal and look really good and valuable in their anodization, I hope that it stays that way for some time. Top!
The hot shoe mounting adapter is super practical, the top piece, a metal sleeve with 1/4 inch thread on both sides, can also be used as a 1/4 inch adapter screw socket. On the hot shoe slider, there are still two knurled screws on the 1/4 inch thread for fixing. Just very good.
There is also nothing wrong with the clamp for handlebars and pipes. Rubber protects the surface and makes the whole thing slip-resistant. The wing screw is very good and easy to use. This clamp has two threads for both screw sizes common in photography: A 1/4 inch thread and a 3/8 inch thread for the larger screws. Very good, I'm really impressed.
But the highlight is probably the “Magic Arm”. I had to play around for a while to understand how the system worked. The two ball heads at the ends of the double arm (which can be tilted up to 90°) do not have their own screw mechanism for fixing, but are fixed together with the knee joint that connects the two arms. This central joint can only be adjusted in one plane and the position is fixed by means of a wing screw. But the joint also has “grids”, so the adjustment is not completely continuous (but almost). With the central joint, however, the two ball joints are now also fixed at the ends, via an invisible mechanism. The farther the wing screw is turned on, the tighter both ball joints sit at the ends (always equally tight), up to “bomb-proof”. The adjustment works better than expected, because when the wing screw is screwed in, the central joint is first fixed due to the “latching”, while the two end ball joints can still be moved in the ball head sockets, depending on the degree of fixation in the middle. This allows you to adjust the entire arm really well, first the middle position, then the two ends, and the “strength” when adjusting (the resistance of the balls in the pans) can be adjusted continuously using the wing screw. When all three joints are in the desired position, the central wing screw is tightened and everything is absolutely tight. If you want to adjust one of the ball joints a bit more, turn on the screw slightly, align the joint (against the resistance), and screw it tight again.
Great system, I'm really impressed!
Overall, a great set from K&F Concept, not even my first product from this brand in the photo accessories sector. I'm more than satisfied, the price is really good in my opinion.
Recommendation!

Such a Magic Arm is a very versatile accessory for all photographers. Thanks to the common ¼” thread, numerous components such as LED lights, microphones, smartphone holders, action cameras and much more can be mounted and aligned in the desired position.

As soon as you remove it from the packaging, you can tell that it is a very solid product in which the metal dominates. The arm alone weighs approx. 218 grams. If you also mount the hot shoe holder, you get approx. 242 grams without any of the possible components, such as a lamp. This will put a decent load on the hot shoe and the weight will be noticeable unless you take pictures with a tripod.

The arm is equipped with a ball head at both ends, so that there are extensive adjustment options. The ball heads are locked with the help of the wing screw located in the middle of the arm, which is anodized in orange. I manually loaded the Magic Arm once in the locked position. In doing so, this product has left a convincing and reliable impression. According to the manufacturer, a load of 2 kilograms should be feasible. I therefore recommend keeping an eye on potential leverage, especially when mounted on the hot shoe.

The package includes a so-called “Superclamp”, which is also equipped with a colored anodized wing screw. This clip can then be attached, for example, to a stand leg, to a table top or even to a fence. The Magic Arm can then be screwed into the existing ¼” thread. There is also a 3/8” thread on the clamp, which allows the installation of suitable components.

Conclusion: A versatile accessory that has impressed during practical testing, promises durability and is offered at a fair price. The workmanship is impeccable. That's why it deserves 5 stars.
A solid product with a wide range of options

I tried the K&F CONCEPT 25 cm mini magic arm and, in general, it seemed like a very practical accessory for mounting cameras, lights or small monitors.

The first thing that stands out is the versatility: the 360° ball joint allows you to adjust the angle precisely and maintain the exact position you need. The arm is sturdy and can hold up to 2 kg, enough for LED lights, webcams or compact monitors.

The 1/4" screw is compatible with most cameras and photo and video accessories, making it easy to integrate it into existing setups. In addition, the arm is solid and does not move once adjusted, providing security when placing delicate equipment.

The 25 cm size is ideal for desktop setups or small rigs, and assembly is quick and simple without the need for complicated tools. I also like that the finishes are metallic and feel durable.

As a detail, when supporting 2 kg, it is advisable not to exceed the recommended weight to maintain stability and prevent the arm from giving way over time.

In general, I think it's a very useful and reliable mini magic arm for content creators or photographers who need to adjust lights, monitors or cameras precisely in tight spaces.
A wonder

Typically, this type of Magic Arm has a center joint with a central clamping screw, which also clamps 2 ball joints at the ends when tightened. The center joint usually only has the degree of freedom around 1 axis and since then usually also latches while the ball joints at the ends can be freely rotated in all directions. If you attach the Magic Arm to one end, it can pick up something, such as a camera, a flash or a light.
This set includes a pretty good clamp, a threaded socket with the “small photo thread” (1/4-20 UNC) as well as a connection for attachment to a hot shoe. This gives you an universal set with which you can attach or connect all kinds of photo equipment.

In my opinion, the workmanship of all parts is impeccable. Everything is made of metal, sturdy, visually beautifully coated and really well made. All edges are neatly chamfered, clean strands. The rubber pads on the clamp look pretty well glued, at least when new. Both clamps are easy to press and hold well. The screw plates at the ball joint ends also have a corrugated rubber pad on a knurled plate. This is gentle on the screwing surface and creates friction that lasts well.

I find the set price reasonable in view of the quality and workmanship offered.

I have tried the 9.8-inch magic arm of the well-known K and F Concept brand and my experience using it in my photographic equipment has been exceptional.

This accessory, equipped with a sturdy super clamp and a practical cold shoe adapter, offers excellent functional versatility.

It is perfectly compatible with camera cages, LED lights, external monitors, flashes and microphones, quickly solving any mounting need on the set.

I especially highlight the firmness of its joints; once adjusted, it keeps the heavy equipment completely stable and one hundred percent safe without giving up a single millimeter.

The quality of the metal construction transmits great durability, and its ergonomic design facilitates extremely fast and precise locking with a single knob.

It's a great work tool that improves the daily flow for any content creator, photographer or professional videographer

The K&F CONCEPT Magic Arm is a support designed to mount photographic equipment, such as LED lights, microphones and monitors. It is 21 cm long and includes a sturdy clamp and a cold sled adapter.

The installation was quick: the clamp is easily fixed on any surface, and the arm offers different angles thanks to its adjustable joints. While shooting, arm stability proved satisfactory for most situations.

Among the pros, I appreciate the variety of uses it offers, the robustness of the materials and the ease of configuration. On the other hand, a flaw I found is that, due to its weight, it could be unstable if used with heavier equipment. In addition, the locking system may require a little more attention, since once fixed, small interfering movements can be noticed.

In summary, the K&F CONCEPT magic arm is a good product for those looking for versatile, quality support at a reasonable price. However, it is primarily ideal for those who use lightweight equipment and not for projects that require extreme stability. A purchase certainly valid for amateur photographers and videomakers.
