Good lenses for protection but you do get some glare when taking pictures or capturing videos unfortunately

Lens guards for both lenses on a 360 camera should almost be the first thing you get, and fit them before you start using it. The nature of the bulbous lenses sticking out means that it's almost impossible for them not to be exposed to damage. If you lie it down, it's lying on the lenses. If you stand it up to keep it off the lenses, it'll end up falling over straight onto the lens. I really do recommend a pair of lens protectors like this from K&F.K&F do a lot of accessories for action cameras and I've got several that have all been pretty good so far. I use them for my DJI Osmo Nano, and my 360 cameras. I would note now that the new Insta360 X4 Air has smaller lenses than the X5 so these lens guards will not fit that, however they're perfect for your X5.They're a little expensive, granted, but much cheaper than replacing full lenses so I think it's a solid investment. They're easy to fit and don't impair the performance of you camera in any way. Recommnded.

I'd like to mention first... People state that there are drawbacks, of course there is, you are double lensing your camera. This isn't a product issue, it's a use-case pro/con situation.So I will not remove any stars as it is what it is and if you are buying these, you should have researched what they are and what they do.I bought the insta ones and 3 weeks later, I tried these. The insta one 1st, scratched easily. But it didn't really cause video quality issues. So I kept using them. 2md, the insta ones seemed to be dust magnets. Okay, so I wiped them often. 3rd, and the reason I replaced them with this brand... Mild vibration over 40 min caused the insta branded one to come loose and fall off.Immediately after opening this brand, they come in a great protective case. So you can store them when not in use. The insta branded ones give you nothing to store them.Also, I have no dust issues yet with these ones.Lastly, these fit snug way more than the insta ones. So I am very happy with these and agree with the description, they are "Premium" and even cost less.

I made the mistake of getting one of my X5 lenses scratched so after replacing the lens I thought I should get a lens protector.These fit perfectly and don't interfere with the image captured by the X5's brilliant lenses. Perfect!They've had a few little bumps but sustained no damage. And they've saved my lenses!Easy to install and they work really well. 5 out of 5 stars!

I got the K&F Concept Premium Lens Guards for my Insta360 X5 because I had cracked my X4 lenses in the past after a fall and don't want a similar issue with my X5. This set comes with two guards in a small protective case, which makes them easy to store and carry.The guards are really easy to attach, just place them on the camera's lenses and twist to lock them into place (make sure the notch on lens guard and insta360 X5 is aligned), and then X5 detects them automatically which is very convenient.I tested image quality with and without the guards, and while normal photos look fine, I did notice glare around bright lights, especially indoors or in strong sunlight outdoors. It’s not terrible, but it’s noticeable. Other than that, I didn't see any issues with image quality.Since Insta360 now offers affordable and easy self lens replacements, I don't plan to use these guards all the time. Instead, I'll save them for specific situations where my camera might be at risk, like when I'm hiking near rocks or in wooded areas. They're perfect for protecting the lenses from scratches and bumps in those situations. The carry case makes it easy to bring them along in my kit for such trips.They feel a little pricey for what they are, and since replacement lenses aren’t too expensive, I think these are more of a “situational” accessory than an everyday one. Still, if you shoot in rough environments and want peace of mind, these guards are worth having.
