The optical quality seems good - I have not noticed any degradation in image quality.This gives me peace of mind - the domed lenses of the X5 are very exposed and easy to scratch. It is much cheaper to replace this lens protector than a lens.It is easy to attach.I am very happy with it.

This is my 2nd pair of these, just wanted to keep spares.It fits my x5 very well, easy to put it on.Bare in mind, if filming underwater or if it get wet, you do get a little bubble. But not a big deal.I absolutely do recommend it! Protected my camera from many drops and scratches.

I was very pleased to receive this product, at the time I received it, it was priced at £26.99 and I consider this to be good value for money. It was well packaged.K&F is now a brand I trust, they have issued some seriously good products and these lenses are no different. They are good quality.I recommend this product!

In the package we find the lenses in their protective case and some sheets, including instructions.
The installation is very simple and clear in the procedure to follow.
The only demanding thing is to do the operation in a clean and dry environment to avoid dirtying the lenses or introducing dust between the lenses and these protectors, otherwise the quality of the videos and photos will be affected.
However, this aspect must be kept in mind even in the case of the original protections.
As far as I'm concerned and for my usage scenarios, this product was of identical quality to the original.

At last a decent lens protector for my Insta360. I’ve tried a couple of poor products in the past, but thankfully this one (costing twice as much) mostly fixes the issues.The main issue I had with the others was a significant amount of lens flare in bright sunlight, as well as a minor drop in overall sharpness in the outer ⅔ of the image.For me this was unacceptable. The K&F reduces the lens flare to the point where you basically need a lightsource right on the edge of the image for it to appear. Naturally this is something you are going to avoid anyway, so the flares aren’t cropping up at all. Secondly the sharpness is now acceptable until the outer 20%, and you won’t notice unless you’re looking for it.Although not cheap at £27 (£21.60 with voucher), this is a good product which gives good protection to the bulbous 360 lenses.

PROS-the protruding lenses of 360 cameras are very prone to damage, these do a great job protecting those lenses-the camera adjusts such that it can’t see the mount-easy to install, and they hold solidly in placeCONS-definitely a slight loss of optical quality (the glass is clear enough, but I’m seeing some reflections/glare I didn’t see before, making me think that these aren’t very well coated)-perhaps a bit priceyNOTES-even though the lenses of the X5 can (finally!) be replaced, these two protectors are far cheaper to use (and even break) that is a single X5 original lens.MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

I'm never disappointed when K&F makes something, they always take the time to think about the end user and this is no different.I've owned alot of K&F in the past and although they are on the more expensive side, they always come with high quality designs and they last such along time.On recently getting my Insta360 X5 It was a no brainer to have some lens protections and when I saw these they really are incredible value for money, easy to fit and they look very sleek without impacting the picture quality and the overall looks.Highly recommend to anyone with camera equipment to take a look at K&F concepts first before going anywhere else.

A solid bit of protection for the Insta360 X5 that does not wreck image quality. It is a 9H tempered optical glass guard made for the X5, with a twist-lock bayonet fitting, and it is multi-coated with oleophobic and hydrophobic layers, with over 99% light transmission. The camera recognises Lens Guard Mode, adjusts stitching accordingly, and there is a notch so the microphone stays clear.Fitting took seconds. Line up the marks, give it a firm twist, and it locks with a positive click. It stayed put on a bumpy ride on the bike, and a tug test did not shift it. Video looks clean and sharp, with colours tracking as expected. Stills are a touch softer at the edges, and I did notice a little extra flare shooting into low winter sun. On first power-up I caught a fleeting internal reflection, then the X5 switched modes and it vanished. Stitch lines are tidy in daylight. In very low light I can spot a faint seam. The coating shrugs off fingerprints, one wipe and it is sorted. My rubber hood still fits over it.At £29.99 it is not cheap, but it is far cheaper than repairing a lens. The build is solid, the mount is secure, and the optical trade-offs are small if you shoot mostly video. Basic protection though not the cheapest.
