K&F CONCEPT Aluminum Alloy Camera Cage Compatible with DJI Osmo Action 6 Camera Accessories, Protective Cage Expansion Frame Case with Cold Shoe Mount | 1/4" Screw Adapter for Tripod, Selfie Stick
SKU: KF12.0026
This cage is built for some serious impacts. It's made of thick aluminum alloy, with rubberized pads on the inside to provide even more protection.I love the orange metal buttons for the power and shutter. I have another cage that doesn't have them, and it's like fishing down a hole to find the buttons on that one. This cage keeps them easily accessible. The cage does not cover either of the two microphones and sound quality is not affected. The top of the cage has a cold shoe, and the right side has a 1/4"-20 female threaded hole for more mounting options. The battery access door is covered by the cage, but can be accessed simply by pushing the button on the back of the cage. The USB-C port door is not covered and is even easier to access. The camera slides into the cage easily, but once locked in, there is absolutely no movement at all. It fits very snugly. All that protection does come at a little cost, though, as it's not a lightweight cage. My kitchen scale weighed it in at 71 grams. You can definitely feel the weight difference. However, it does provide excellent protection, more mounting options, and a better grip for those 71 grams.Overall, an excellent accessory to protect your investment.

The K&F Concept aluminum camera cage for the DJI Osmo Action 6 camera is a great device to help protect and add flexibility to your camera. The cage conveniently opens to allow installation on your camera, provide a cold shoe mount, orange anodized shutter release button and on/off button. There is access to the bottom of the camera and a ¼-20 thread on one side of the cage and the other side provides access to the battery. The size of the cage is compact and barely bigger than the bare camera and the black and orange anodized finish is near perfection. The design of the cage allows full use of the cameras functionality while providing protection and additional mounting options.

Most important thing, it fits. Action 6 slides right in without any tightness that keeps my camera from sliding in, and once the cage’s door is latched (wait for the click), it doesn’t jiggle inside of the cage at all. There's foam padding on the inside, on the side with the 1/4 inch screw mount and another two thin strips on either side of the shutter button, I think these pieces of foam help with the no-jiggling too. So far, seems like a great quality cage. The buttons are very nice, don’t have to press down hard, and I feel like it’s easier to press the buttons when using the cage. I like it. Does a great job at keeping my camera even more protected and it gives me peace of mind when I’m camping have it strapped to my bike. Good price compared to others on the market, I’d recommend it.

✅ What I Like:Perfect Fit: The camera drops in clean, locks in solid, and all the buttons still feel easy to press. No weird flex, no misaligned cutouts.Full Access: I can still use the battery door, ports, and swap filters without having to pull the camera out of the cage. The DJI mic adapter plugs in fine, and standard claw mounts for selfie sticks and other accessories work like they should.Cold Shoe & Mounting Options: The cold shoe holds a mic or light with no wobble, and the 1/4" mounting point makes it easy to throw on a tripod or stick. It fits right into a normal creator setup.Build Quality: It feels like typical K&F Concept quality—solid aluminum, clean machining, and it doesn’t feel cheap in the hand. You can tell it will offer real protection if the camera takes a knock. Worth the price.⚠️ Worth Noting:It does add a bit of weight to the camera. Nothing crazy, but you notice it if you’re used to running the Action 6 bare or on a light helmet setup. For most shooting situations, the trade-off is worth it for the extra protection and mounting options.

Not my first cage for a portable mini camera from K&F, and I still enjoy the beautiful color scheme and the really excellent quality of materials and workmanship.
The cage is made of solid aluminum. All hinges and fasteners run smoothly, look high-quality and durable, and the anodized surfaces are seamless and very cleanly produced.
The fact that the control elements are in red is not only an aesthetic eye-catcher that I highly appreciate, but also makes them incredibly easy to use, as you can find them at a glance.
Of course, the sealed push buttons of the Osmo Action 6, which are already slightly spongy due to the design, are not exactly more precise due to the additional metal buttons. But for my taste, the trigger button in particular is haptically faster to find and operate more reliably than without a cage.
For all recording formats with the Osmo 6 that do not use the square format introduced with this camera, the additional mounting option on the portrait format side is a more than welcome addition. Not only can the now finally symmetrically arranged, magnetically oriented quick-release fastener be attached here, but there is also the classic 1/4 inch thread, which allows the cage to be attached to virtually any stand system available on the market.
It would have been nice to also have such a thread on the underside — which, of course, would have made the cage thicker and heavier.
It is gratifying that access to the USB-C port has been left free.
Even the quick battery change was thought of here. With a push button, which for once is not marked orange, the base plate can be unlocked on the right and then folded upwards, which allows access to the battery compartment. Cleverly done, albeit a bit complex.
All in all: A well-made and good-looking cage that gives this action camera strong additional protection on the sides and adds welcome portrait format options. The additional cold shoe on the top makes it easy to attach a small lamp or microphone and thus significantly expands the range of uses of the camera.
However, please note: The pleasantly compact and really lightweight camera becomes a lot bulkier and heavier.
Overall, highly recommended.

Nice and solid snug fit. Adds a bit of weight and bulk to your Action Cam but it gives all round protection apart from the lens if you drop it. Disappointed it doesn’t come with a silicone lens cap cover like Smallrig does. The DJI dual-directional quick release mount fits in perfectly and both side doors on the cage open and close with no issues. However if you’re considering adding the Ulanzi LM18 led light to this cage I’d wait until Ulanzi confirm it’s product fits the OA6 because it does not fit this cage, I purchased the LM18 light but had to return it.

In particular, the K&F Cage adds a ColdShoe mount and a screw winch to the Action6. In the end, these are only two additional mounting points, but these are particularly practical and somewhat essential, for example to install the camera as a B-cam on a “real” camera. Of course, there is also proper protection, as the cage is made of solid metal, which is also a bit noticeable in the additional weight. However, this is not annoying, nor is the fact that the buttons are protected but now feel a bit more spongy. I am happy to make these compromises.
In any case, the cage fits perfectly and is well made, with clean edges, protection where it needs to be and openings where it cannot be avoided, such as for the connections, and also for any filters on the lens. It's nice that K&F has thought about the fact that the filters like to survive a bit. The cage will certainly stick to my Action6 permanently.

I'm a big fan of K&F CONCEPT in general and this camera cage once again confirms the brand's very good impression. The workmanship is high-quality, the aluminum feels sturdy and cleanly milled and the cage really fits like a glove on the DJI Osmo Action 6. What is
particularly positive is that all buttons, ports and the battery compartment remain easily accessible. You immediately notice that the cage is precisely tailored to the camera and does not interfere in everyday life. Assembly is quick and easy, without any tools, which I really appreciate when using it.
The integrated hot shoe holder and the 1/4 inch thread allow accessories such as microphones or small lamps to be flexibly attached. At the same time, the cage provides very good protection without unnecessary application.
The bottom line is a well-thought-out, solid accessory that significantly expands the creative use of the camera. For the price, you get exactly the quality you expect from K&F CONCEPT.

Adds a sturdy layer of protection while keeping all buttons and screens easy to reach, making filming feel more secure. Cold shoe mount and screw adapter give handy spots for a mic or tripod, letting the setup shift quickly between handheld shots and fixed angles. Fit sits snugly around the camera, locking in place with no rattles, and the finish stays smooth even after a few knocks in the bag.
