This is the stand alone version of the same Magnetic Quick Release Mount that is part of the K&F CONCEPT Folding Selfie Stick (for reference that is Part Number KF12.0001). The key advantage of adding this Mount to your Insta360 X5, Ace Pro or Ace Pro 2, is that the same excellent Mounting design can be used to add your Camera to any other equipment in the same way, that's provided it has either a 1/4 inch Bolt Mount or a Go-Pro style Pronged Interface.This Mount is compatible with either Mounting format, because of its well engineered dual Mounting interface. At first glance, it looks like it is simply a standard 1/4 inch threaded socket Mount but, upon closer inspection, the two matching descending Prongs fold down, and the alternative Mounting interface presents itself.

As a frequent user of Insta360 cameras (X5, Ace Pro 2 and X3), I have tried several quick-release adapters, but this one from K&F Concept stands out for a very specific reason: the safety lock system. It's a feature you don't usually see in generic models, and honestly, it makes a difference when you're on the go.

The design is compact, discreet and well built. The aluminum alloy body transmits confidence from the first contact. There are no loose parts or plastic finishes that raise doubts. The magnetic clasp feels firm, but what really convinced me was the additional safety latch. Once the camera is mounted, this lock prevents any accidental release, even under intense vibrations such as those experienced on a motorcycle or bicycle.

I tested it on the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and also on the X5, using both the GoPro adapter and the 1/4" thread. The installation is intuitive and reversible, allowing the orientation to be adjusted according to the type of socket. In my case, I mounted it on the bike's handlebar and also on a helmet, and in both scenarios it stayed firm, without play or unwanted movements.

One detail that I liked is that, despite being cheaper than the official Insta360 accessory, it doesn't sacrifice quality. I have tripods from this same brand and they have always complied. This good impression is repeated here: solid materials, functional design and fair price.

The only thing that could improve would be to include a small visual guide for those who are not familiar with the locking system, although in my case it was easy to understand after a couple of tests.

In short, this support offers peace of mind. I no longer have to worry about the camera getting loose en route. It's a real improvement over generic adapters, and for the price, hard to beat.

I have tried several other quick release adapters for the Insta360 X5 camera, but they all lacked a switch that locks the camera in place. This adapter by K&F includes the lock, but its implementation is a little odd, as it is an up or down switch, and may accidentally be moved when in use. This adapter is pretty nice quality, and feels premium when you are holding it. It fits my camera good, with no movement or wiggle room. I like that they give you GoPro feet, as well as a 1/4" thread to mount on all sorts of things. Overall, I like this, and appreciate that it has the lock, but wish the lock switch was smaller or a different direction so it wouldn't get hit by accident.

This is an excellent magnetic quick release mount. I’ve been using this on an Insta 360 Ace Pro and an Ace Pro too and it works perfectly on both. The magnets are strong and reliable. Also, the other thing I like about this mount is it’s the kind that has both a 1/4 inch mount along with the little feet for an action camera mount as well so you can use it either way. Highly recommended.

Yes, this plate fits nicely onto the bottom of the camera and is perfectly sized. Small enough to lock into place while keeping the Explorer grip on the Ace Pro 2. I have come to love this extra grip on the Ace Pro 2 and I almost never remove it. This plate locks into place with magnetic attachment and the spring loaded clips easily.2. Very well made! All metal construction from what I'm seeing that gives you confidence that this plate is keeping your camera where it's mounted. The locking mechanism is a small flip switch on the front plate (shown in attached images for this review) and it has a very reassuring click that lets you know its locked.3. This device is machined out of metal, and is quite solid. The big distinguishing feature, though, is that it has a lock switch. When the lock is engaged, the four tabs that hold the camera can't come undone. That, plus the obvious quality, is what makes this adapter an excellent choice for your X5.

This magnetic quick release folding adapter is all metal and well made. Though it has magnetic components that attract it to the camera, I notice that the connection could still be loose, so I needed to push the bottom of the adapter into base of the X5 camera until I hear a click, then I know the clips are engaged, and once I lower the locking latch, the connecting feels solid and stable. I demonstrate this in the video I uploaded. Once you ensure that everything is connected securely, it feels like another great quality equipment offering from K&F Concept.

I have a pretty specific use case for this quick release mount. I need to mount the X5 camera on a line mount for kitesurfing and using a traditional tripod mount allows for the camera to rotate on the screw. It's also important to keep the center lines in the stitching area. This mount is lighter weight than a full metal cage.The aluminum build feels premium and locks down tight once you get the hang of positioning it right. Works great with both the X5 and Ace Pro, even though it's technically marketed for the X5. The magnetic snap system makes switching between tripods and selfie sticks super quick, which is clutch when you're filming.

Got this for my insta360 ace pro. The black and red color theme matches my camera. The aluminum body is excellent quality. The magnet is super strong. A little too strong since it is hard to remove.The tension spring on the other hand don't seem strong enough. Can easily be pressed. I think it should be a the other way around where the magnets aren't so strong and the mechanical latch should be harder to release. But not a major issue.I'm not sure what the included washer and bolt is for. The bolt is too small for the thread on the bottom. Overall, it's a pretty nice product. Good to have another insta360 quick release adapter.
