The mounting tabs lock!
This device is machined out of metal, and is quite solid. The big distinguishing feature, though, is that it has a lock switch. When the lock is engaged, the four tabs that hold the camera can't come undone. That, plus the obvious quality, is what makes this adapter an excellent choice for your X5.
