I bought this K&F Concept magnetic quick release adapter mainly to bounce my Insta360 X5 between a selfie stick, mini tripod and chest/backpack mounts without constantly fiddling with a 1/4" screw. It delivers exactly that: align it, snap it on, slide the safety lock, and you’re ready to shoot. The mount is designed specifically for the X5, uses an aluminum alloy body, includes silicone/anti-slip padding, and keeps a low profile so it shouldn’t intrude into 360 footage.What I likeFast to mount/dismount: The magnetic alignment makes it almost “one-handed” once you get used to it, and the lock is a nice extra layer.Very flexible: Bottom 1/4" screw hole for tripods/ball heads/selfie sticks, plus a foldable 2-prong (“GoPro-style”) option for head/chest/backpack-style accessories.Feels sturdy: Metal construction and the pads help prevent scratches/slipping.What could be betterThe lock is mandatory (in my opinion): It’s quick to forget when you’re moving fast, so I got in the habit of always sliding it shut after every click-in.Overall, it’s a really practical little accessory that makes the X5’s magnetic quick-release style mounting (one of the nice usability upgrades on the X5) even more convenient but do a quick lock-check before rolling.

Unfortunately, the part on the Insta360x5 is super shaky when the x5 is mounted, and the lock button is extremely fiddly to use and always snags.

After customer support contacted me directly, I was offered several solutions to the problem without any problems. I can give top customer support 5 stars without a guilty conscience and have probably really caught a Monday device.

The overall build quality is very good, however, the magnets aren't strong enough to hold the camera on their own, more to guide you and its important to check all of the latches are fully located and locked before use.Great customer service too.

It doesn't let go, but it dances. Loose, it doesn't provide security.

A solidly built and rather attractive quick-release, which overcomes a few issues with the standard screw-in mount technique. The locking mechanism has a bit of a knack to it - it really has a solid lock-on once you get used to it, but I did find a few times that one side wasn't locking as hoped.The fit to the X5 is perfect - very snug, and aside from the orange design highlights on the K&F, it looks like OEM kit.Very happy - good value and simple functionality make this a winner.

This quick release magnetic adapter fits my Insta360 AcePro2 camera perfectly, with a good strong hold. I especially like that it can connect directly to a tripod or a GoPro style mount, without needing extra adaptors. Overall a very useful product that's very well made and does it's job well. Recommended.

I love itI was filming a time-lapse on a tripod, then needed to quickly put the camera on my backpack strap mount for a hiking shot. I just snapped it off the tripod and onto the strap. The change took literally two seconds. You will appreciate the speed when you're trying to catch a moment.The safety lock gives me peace of mind. Once I attach the camera, I slide the lock up. The camera stays secure; I never worry about it falling, even when I run or move fast.
