The locking mechanism on this mount is worth any small extra cost on this magnetic mount versus other ones. The mount's magnetic strength is good enough but not if you're using it for filming bumpy rides. I doubt any magnetic system is good enough to not require the locking mechanism to keep the mount prods in place. I started out using k and f concept mount systems and I've stuck by them since they go the extra mile to deliver a good quality product versus the other knockoff resellers. The fit for the x5 was good. For my mount system I attached this piece to, it was just as easy as using the included screw piece to attach it. The functionality and stability is very reinforced by the fact it has that locking switch mechanism.

These new magnetic quick release adapters are a game changer for on-the-go filming/action cams/short form video/whatever you can imagine. I've gotten a few different types of mount, but this form factor is my favorite for its versatility. The ability to use either 1/4" screw or claw-type mounts means this is essentially an adapter for all of your existing gear to this novel quick-release system. It's faster than any other system I've tried to date, but the attachment is still firm and unshakable.Across all of these mounts that I've tested, I've yet to encounter any functionality issues. This one is no exception. I'm using this on my Insta360 X4 (yes, with an adapter on the camera too - only the X5 has it as far as their 360 cameras go). The rubber retaining pad on this is a bit thicker and more textured than the other mounts I've tried, which means there's ZERO camera wiggle or looseness, even if it requires slightly more force to fully engage the pawls.This adapter specifically is a cut above - but you're paying for that quality. It's just a little better machined, smaller and lighter without feeling flimsy, but about $10 more expensive than the low-end of the price spectrum for this type of adapter. You can see the difference in dimension between this (left) and another design (right) in the attached photo. This retails for $22.99 (at the time of listing), while a similar adapter from a different brand that I trust is $13.99. The only major difference in function between the two is that the cheaper version lacks the locking tab (see attached video), which is a nice-to-have, but in my opinion not necessary in all but the most heavy-duty scenarios; the spring-loaded locking hooks and magnet already provide a solid mount that doesn't seem like it needs added security.All in all, I think this adapter is a great addition to any kit. If you're just buying one of these, then I'd say splurge and grab this one. If you're looking to stock up so you can fully swap over from slower mounting options, I'd say shop around for a better price.

Really nice accessory for the Insta360 X5!I use my X5 a lot at the track and like to take the camera off of my camera rig during breaks (to charge batteries and for safety) and this quick release adapter makes it so quick and convenient!Nice fit that stays solid. Great fit in the X5, and it looks cool too. Easy to attach and mount, and functions well too.

The quality of this mount is top notch, fits well, made well. Clicks into the mount on the bottom of the X5 - but it has a tiny bit of wiggle room. Too much in my opinion to use it on the end of a long pole. I use this only on my stationary mounts like a tripod. I'm sure it could handle the movement on a pole, but I don't feel comfortable risking it. It's stable when the camera doesn't move, but seeing that tiny bit of wiggle room becomes huge with the slightest movement. It says this is magnetic - but I can't see how it is because it's pretty weak.

Fits my Ace Pro 2 perfectly! And it included an additional arm mount as well! It is well-built, made of a full-metal construction. K&F makes some great products that are useful, while maintaining a low-cost.

I really like this. I love that I can set this all up and then just Quick Release and Connect it at will. Build quailty is like no other, I mean it is solid aluminum and real beefy. For the price this was just a no brainer. Get it if you have a need. You will love it.
