I’ve got quite a bit of K&F Concept gear and always found it well made and good value.This isn’t the cheapest mount out there but it’s solid and also includes a standard GoPro type mount.The black and orange colour is quite attractive and matches my Three Legged Thing camera mounts.Whilst it’s advertised as being for the X5 it fits the Ace Pro, and presumably the newer model, without a problem. You just have to orient it correctly so that the magnetic mount works. On the Insta360 mount it’s marked which side faces forward but there’s no similar marking on the K&F. It fits correctly with the locking mechanism facing forward.As with the original mount you just have to make sure that it’s attached properly as sometimes one side of the mount doesn’t engage first time. Once it’s on and the lock is engaged it’s going nowhere and feels very solid.You can use the tripod thread to mount directly to a tripod or tripod plate but I like to fit a GoPro type accessory that has a thread on it as I can also hand hold just using the mount. Note - the supplied accessory does not have a tripod thread.The K&F is cheaper than the Insta360 but is still quite pricy for a tiny bit of gear. However, it’s keeping your several hundred pound camera firmly attached.

I’m using this magnetic quick-release adapter on the Insta360 X5, and while it feels a little expensive at first for what it is, the quality is faultless. In short, it’s a very polished, well-designed accessory that doesn’t disappoint when used in real-world filming.The aluminium alloy build is perfectly machined, locks securely in place, and the coloured release points make everything easy to find, while it clicks into place perfectly with just the right amount of resistance.The magnetic snap-on design makes switching between mounts fast and fuss-free, whether that’s a tripod, selfie stick, clamp, or strap. I have seen some alternative solutions, but this is by far the best implementation so far.There is no wobble or obstruction in the 360 stitch, just a solid and reliable connection, so yes again, it’s not the cheapest accessory, but as an alternative to the original, it’s a worthwhile investment if you plan on using the camera regularly or for mission-critical projects.

The quick lock itself is a thing of beauty, solid aluminium, nicely detailed - although the locating springs could be stronger and more positive in their return. You need a bit of a knack to get it to locate correctly (on an Ace Pro 2) but once there, it’s as solid as a rock. By contrast the pronged base feels cheap and plasticky, with a poor threaded fixture - takes several attempts to locate it without cross threading. Buy it for the quick lock, and bin the rest.

This mount has both a strong magnetic mount and hooks that can be locked for a secure mounting of the Insta360 X5 camera. I am using it inside of an aircraft but would be comfortable with this in an exterior setting.

Good quality magnetic quick release for my Insta360 x5 camera. This is easy to set up by using the GoPro type fingers or the tripod screw mount. This provides a good stable base and the materials make this feel very durable. The functionality works exactly as expected, it's stable and fits well in my camera bag. I appreciate the lock so I don't have to worry about it falling off by accidentally pressing the sides. Overall, great addition for the x5.
