This magnetic mount is a smart, versatile tool for cameras, phones, and action cams. The strong, rubber-coated magnetic base grips well on flat steel surfaces and will help prevent scratches, while the ball head is smooth, stable, and locks firmly in place. It includes a standard ¼”-20 screw, GoPro-style adapter, and a spring-loaded phone holder that fits even large phones with thick cases. The lightweight design—thanks to some plastic components—doesn’t compromise durability and makes it easy to carry.That said, the magnet isn’t able to work on thinner or curved metal, like car panels, so it’s best for flat setups. The phone clamp is fixed and tight, but was also a little wonky to get used to at first. I'm not sure how much weight it can support so I haven't tried to use my mirrorless camera and a lens. I do wish it had one more center magnet that would probably reinforce it. It's been great for my smaller stuff. For casual use or light gear, it’s a well-designed, compact mount with good value.

This mount is convenient for quick setups when needed. The magnet holds securely to magnetic surfaces. It is a bit bulky, though, which makes it somewhat difficult to carry in a bag when you’re out and about. I leave it in the car so it’s nearby when I need it. It’s a notable advantage that it works with both your phone and 1/4-20 mounts without requiring extra accessories. The mount has a solid heft and feels comfortable in hand. It doesn’t feel flimsy like some other accessories. I’ve dropped it a few times on concrete, and so far, it shows no signs of damage. The magnet is removable from the ball head, making it easy to attach to a tripod if desired. There’s also a cold shoe mount if needed. At the current price ($15.99 as of 6/11/25), it’s a good value if you need something like this.

Unlike some who may be put off by the plastic construction here, I like it just fine. It also helps it to be significantly lighter than metal ones. I don't see any downside, as the ball head is PLENTY sturdy.It's got a great magnetic base which instills confidence. Which can also be unscrewed from the ball head and moved to separate mounting screw, opposite from the tension adjustment knob. The ball itself can be tightened to any degree without any internal flexure being readily noticeable. And can easily be adjusted to any amount of friction desired, for fine framing adjustment of your device. The "multi-use head" platform is highly ingenious (and also completely removable). It'll work with even the largest phone inside of a thick heavy case, a regular action camera, or virtually anything else with a 1/4" by 20 screw (3/8th adapter included also). My honest appraisal is, I like it and will put it to good long-term use.While it's no Arca Swiss going at greater than $300 (at least in the old days) it'll do virtually everything you require.The rubber covering on the magnet holding disc (also a 1/4 by 20 screw-in) is sufficient to reliably keep from marring surfaces such as automobile paint, etc.It's a well thought out and executed design by someone, or several, who actually knew what they were doing.For its price I definitely recommend this. I've been messing with cameras since 1986 pretty regularly.One could likely even mount an old film medium format camera on this (a quite large camera). Yes, it's plastic (other than the actual red internal ball, which by appearances is aluminum) but of a "correct type" for the job. If you were to drop it onto concrete, it'd likely survive. At least, that'd be my guess!It's a good deal.

This is a great value from K&F! I'm using it with my GoPro and its sturdy with the strong magnet.I especially love the silicone cover over the magnet so I never worry about scratching up a car or bike. This has an interesting design for use with a 1/4 20 tripod mount, GoPro type mounts and has a phone clamp as well. If that's not enough it has a tripod mount on the side that could attach something, a light for example, to the ballhead or be used to attach the ballhead itself to something. Having the larger area at the mount does somewhat limit the positions you can get your camera into but it is also a time saver to have an all in one mounting point and means you need to both pack and keep up with less. I think it's a good trade off in my case. It lists 3kg as the weight limit which is pretty impressive. It has the silicone coated magnetic base which is great for peace of mind when mounting on a painted surface.

Another quality K&F Concepts product that allows one to quickly attach any device with a screw mount to this ball head and magnetically attach it to a metallic object and have your device remain securely attached. I recently acquired an action camera that I plan on utilizing for my vehicle (and other activities) in the future, and this mount is perfect for that. I have always had great experiences with K&F Concepts, and this product of theirs is no different.5 stars.

The K&F Concept Magnetic Camera Mount is very well made. The bottom round plate has strong magnetic, but not strong enough to carry weights beyond the advertised action camera set up. The device itself adds quite some weight. When I tried to use a pocket 3, it actually fell off in 2 min. The listing didn't say it fits a pocket 3, so I didn't deduct a star here. But rather, the heavy set up. It's a bit too cumbersome.

This is a weird one if you shoot mainly action camera. This is clearly primarily a phone mount with an "also" ability to mount an action camera. That part if it feels forced and kind of clunky. Now, for a phone only user? Brilliant. Nice job.

This is an interesting piece of engineering. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to release the phone holder, but it is pretty cool to have it built in to the ball head.The whole piece is very well made and is very solid, as with all things I've experienced with K&F. The machining is precise and it feels like a quality ball head. I appreciate the all-metal design. The magnetic base is large enough to have some very strong holding power, and this is one mount that I might actually consider strong enough to mount to a moving vehicle.The fact that the base screws off adds to the versatility, allowing it to be mounted to a tripod, monopod or a monkey tail. So far, it has stuck to everything (metal, obviously) that I've tried it on and it does not budge. This is my new go-to mount!
