If you need a magnetic, adjustable mount for an Action 5.... stop reading and buy this. End of review.Ok, to give some details: firstly, this screams quality. As soon as you just feel the weight of this metal mount you know it is something special. The claw- mount provides a firm grip with no slippage and the magnetic mount itself is almost too strong! It gives the impression that once you attach it, it is there to stay, no matter the wind, g-force or buffering. I really feel that my camera is safe. Really easy to use, attach the camera, find a solid metal surface - and that's it.I use it for hyperlapse and time-lapse recordings more than anything else and it is perfect.Lastly, it is really good value for money. So, this one really is a no-brainer. Totally fit for purpose and at a great price.Highly recommended.

Nice strong magnetic base. Seems well made. The ball joint works well, stays in place without having to over tighten the locking screw.

This magnetic camera mount is quite impressive. The magnets are really strong and the base is well covered with rubber to prevent scratches and damages. It can easily hold a phone or an action camera and a light mirrorless setup, but that does pose a little bit more risk especially if you are mounting to a moving object like a car or cart. The ball head itself is quite nice too though as it can also hold steady very nicely. There is no panning function on this ball head so just repositioning the magnetic mount is the way to go; if you must have something with panning, you can unscrew the ball head off the magnetic mount to reveal a 1/4" thread.What I do enjoy on this is the integrated mounting design. The phone holder slides in and out of the way to be deployed, and the "claws" are large enough to hold moderately beefy phone cases too. The 1/4" thread screw also comes on a thumb screw so there is no need to spin your device onto this magnetic holder.Overall, with how strong the magnets are yet the nicely protected bottom, I think this is a really awesome magnetic mount. Unless you plan on using larger cameras on a moving vehicle for example, this should be more than enough.
