When the product first arrived, it was missing a part from the manufacturer (the shock mount). That was unfortunate, but the folks in customer service handled everything very well. They were flexible when it came to returning for a refund or a replacement, and they made sure everything worked out. I'm very happy with my replacement item.

This is a great mic for beginners. I use it with my phone so I had to purchase a TRS to TRSS patch cable, and it works well. Sound quality is good for the price point, and I'm happy with it.

Bought this microphone upon hearing from many reviewers that it is good at picking up voices at a distance. The sound it picks up is definitely clear, good quality. However, unless you're talking directly into the microphone (think ~6 inches), the sound is extremely quiet... so totally defeats the purpose of this microphone. 1/5, do not recommend unless you are going to hold this at your mouth whenever you record.

I use this microphone with a GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter on my Hero 7 Black and it works great. It has never let me down and I shoot a lot of outdoors video on my hiking excursions in the Shenandoah Mountains. Better than the internal GoPro Mic (which isn’t bad).On my GoPro, I set the “Audio Input” to “Standard Mic” and I get superior audio quality. I jury-rigged a foam windscreen over the mic for those windy days. I also have a cat-tail I can use as well.

It's a 50/50 shot to get this mic to record. I believe the flaw is due to tolerances in the aux port. -- The aux cord always finds itself popping out just enough to break the connection. When it is recording I use it to record my amateur vlogs to replace my go pro mic and its a night and day difference.
