I have it a four star because I believe it is My cord that is causing the problem but it makes a slight hiss while recording

Seems a little front heavy once in the clip with the dead cat windscreen on. Ultimately it’s the best mic for the price and size for vlogging etc.

It is a very good quality microphone. After record you can hear the voices perfectly.

I'm a musician and I play at concerts, weddings and in the beach. It's very good sound quality. Very good!

This is a great mic for people who want great sound quality, but don't want to break the bank. The only thing is that I wish the cable was a bit longer

Please note that the advertising for this product doesn't mention that it will not work if you're using it for recording on a cell phone. You will need to purchase a separate cable - Rode SC7 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable - in order for it to function properly.I just got mine and intended to use it while recording on my Google Pixel 2 XL, but after many test videos, I realized the audio was the same with or without the microphone. Found a helpful youtube vid explaining how you need that new cable. Don't know if i'll bother to update this review once I finally get the new cable.. because that's how frustrated I am.

The product itself is great. No doubt. But I very clearly ordered black and very clearly received red. Ah well.
