Incredibly disappointed in the sound quality for a $60 Rode product. Recording straight into my iPhone 11 resulted in a better audio clip than this mic. It's also super quiet.I purchased a microphone with the intent to use it for multiple purposes, not just as a camera hot shoe mic, and the Rode VideoMicro does not meet my expectation. It's probably got the pickup quality of a $20-30 buck mic.

From a distance it's a definite improvement. Downside was having to order a different cable than the one it came with for it to work on my phone. Ordered a tssr cable for $15 and it works on my Pixel 3. Cable it comes with does work with a DSLR camera though.

Very good product and works really well but its very flimsy. The red plastic holder that holds the mic is so weak and cheap

This mic was perfect for what I am using it for and very well constructed. My only complaint would be the rubber mount that the mic sits in as it does wobble.

So, I can't get it to work but it's not the mic's fault. My GoPro 8, brand new GoPro 8, doesn't recognize the input. This means I need to send my brand new GoPro 8 back in for replacement. Bummer, BUT my cat loves the furry gray mic cover. So, not all is lost.

The Rode VideoMicro is perfect for pretty much any DSLR camera with the mic jack available. While you do have to purchase a separate cable (SC7) to use on a phone (iPhone11 Pro in this case), the sound quality is impeccable. It's super simple to set up and use right away. I really like how compact it is and lightweight.

Heard lots of good things about this brand...hopefully when I get into more how to vlog and know more how to...I can say more but overall it does n looks good! Good quality...10 thumbs up...

Makes a big difference froma normal in camera mic. Sounds clear and definately makes my video sound quality ao much better.
