I love these walkie-talkies because you can hear each other from a mile away. the battery life is pretty long and the flashlight is great.

The distance the radios can reach each other is good on land & even better on the water. The price is great for 6 radios. The radio lets you know when its time to charge it and the charging time is approximately 3 hours if it's dead.

I've been using this item for 1+ year. It works great. I used the CHIRP software to reprogram them to US legal channel and also lowered the power to FCC allowable limits. They have been excellent. I've been able to get over1/2 mile range on it with 1 radio inside a house and the other outside. I did not try further, but I think it can easily for further. I did read other reviews that says they successfully can get 1 mile range..I did have 1 problem with a battery and the seller took care of the problem quickly! This is a great radio as its better than a normal kids walkie talkie.Overall this is a excellent radio for the price.

We bought these for a family field trip to the amusement park. We are able to remain in contact with eachother all days. The nice part is while yes we had cell phones these were more rugged and we didnt have to worry about breaking our cell phones on rides. these survived multiple roller coasters without breaking. and the battery lasted us 12 hours (not constant talking obviously)
