It was awesome to be able to capture roadtrip footage while hiking & driving the byways in the Rockies with image stabilization and great fps. Couldn't be happier that I didn't miss out on this cam.. You can not beat the value of this “go-pro” type device for the money. I bought this for our very active 8 yr old so and he loves it. The camera has held up perfectly in the case and the ease of uploading the videos cant be beat! Highly recommend!!

I purchased this cam to accompany me on a scuba trip off the coast. I ran it through its paces on land and in a bucket of water and was quite pleased with all aspects - stabilization, recording and picture quality, and waterproof ability of the case to a decent depth. We were all geared up for the trip and on the boat when they cancelled it due to weather, so sadly I didn't get an opportunity to take it to any great depth.This was my first sport cam purchase and to be honest I did quite a bit of homework on all the different brands and models. I wasn't ready to commit to something super expensive but I certainly wanted a quality image during the dive. The V50X had the features I was looking for with the right price and had reviews to back up the quality of the product. Certainly happy with the purchase and will be more excited when I can actually get into the ocean for a full checkout.

The screen went black when I hit recorded, but it ended up capturing everything I needed it to and looked pretty good for an action camera. I do think that the image is a little screeched on a luminance waveform monitor, but not so much that it looked bad. Overall I'd buy this over a gopro any day of the week.

I love this camera. Great quality, easy to use, and fantastic videos. Works great with my iSteady Pro 2 Gimbal. I am looking forward for more AKASO products. It is definitely a great option for an action camera. You won't be disappointed.

My son has been using this camera to make videos for his YouTube channel. So far the video and picture quality is well above most other cameras in this price range. I purchased the microphone to go with this as well separately. I wish there were more options for microphones, but the AKASO mic works well enough for now.

I was looking for an action camera to give me safety confidence while biking. After taking the camera out a few times, if I needed to report a vehicle license plate to the police I am sure it will be no problem in the future. The camera worked so well, my wife and I bought a second camera. Now we have a camera for the front and rear. This camera is an excellent value as we bought two cameras for less than the price of one top name brand.
