Overall the camera works very well with a very good image quality. My only complaints are the on board microphone is really bad and there is only one microphone that works with the camera. Additionally when recording it splits the videos into 7 to 8 minute segments making editing video a little more challenging to keep track of what video is what. Overall it is a solid action cam that I have enjoyed using.I am editing my review based on using the camera more. I am very happy with the camera and for an entry level action camera the price and quality can't be beat. Akaso reached out to me regarding the microphone issue and are looking to improve the quality in newer versions of the camera. I purchased the external microphone and the sound quality now matches the picture quality.

I think this action cam is one of the best ones on the market for this price range. Stabilization is good, picture quality is decent as long as you have a well lit area or outdoors. Battery life is decent for the size of battery, but I have not found it to be much of an issue since they are really cheap to replace. Just keep extras charged with you and you should be fine. Be careful with the tripod mount on the camera. I broke mine pretty easily on accident.

This camera was a gift, and has given us the ability to capture family moments while kayaking down rivers and exploring lakes. Excellent quality photos and videos, and easy to use. We have received several comments about this camera from family and friends. Highly recommend this product!!

I'm totally new to action cameras and was surprised to find such a high quality product and a great price point. The images are great and the size and feel of the camera are pretty good too. My only complains are: 1) There are way too many accessories and they aren't labeled so I had to search videos to find how to put them together 2) There isn't a great accessory to attach to my ski helmet (it's rounded with no holes) so i end up just holding it. Other than that, it is a great little toy to play with and capture amazing action shots.

Great camera for the price point. I didn’t need a lot of features so paying extra made no sense. For me the V50X will handle the videos I want to make. So far I’m very please with the overall performance.

Honestly you get what you paid for. Its a $100 "4k" camera. I would say its more a glorified dash cam.I needed a inexpensive camera for making demo carpentry videos and I purchased this camera in particular after some research.The negative in my opinion is the wide angle view you get while recording. I have worked with setting trying to correct this but every recording always looks like a wide panoramic angle. The 4k quality advertised is not all there but really its as best as you will get for the money.The camera is very picky on the type of SD cards you use in it.The battery life is about an hour 30 min span in 1080, they do include two batteries and if the battery dies while recording it will save up to the moment it turned off.The prospective case prevents usb microphone to be connected, so while it does protect the camera from damage the issue here is either protect your camera and have no sound or use it with microphone and risk dropping it and breaking it. If you plan on leaving in place to record than it should be ok.The sound is dreadful to say the least. Even with the microphone I would say its ok to say the least.Settings are very easy to get to and user friendly.The separate accessories set is loaded but all made of plastic so not really made for extreme outdoor use.Overall if you want a no sound stationary camera with decent quality than this is the one, otherwise just spend the money and get your self a better one.

Image stab is really good and has superior image quality. This is my "on the go" cam for all my projects. I also use this at my REAL JOB to document my daily task completion and site verification. Having this unit really helps verify my site status. The battery life is good and unit comes with an extra battery.
