Great GMRS radios
Everything about this little radio is great, except the power output. The two I got only put out around 4 1/2 watts. High, medium, low setting outputs are identical to the UV5 model (Which looks identical to the F8HP). I bought two more units (Still in transit). And if they do not put out 8 watts I may return all 4.Update:Bought a second power meter and now they measure around 7.5 watts. Overall very happy with these little puppies.They all hit my repeater (And other's repeaters) from miles out even with the stock antennas.
