Definitely brighter than fluorescent or incandescent. the output is like a light that would have 3- 60 W incandescent bulbs

Easy assemble. Great Christmas gift for twin daughters. The light is bright. Would recommend not looking at light when you turn it on. All in all great sturdy light. Can literally a whole room by itself.
