This is a rather well thought out quick release plate (Arca Swiss compatible). In addition to using it as a traditional camera or lens quick release plate, it also articulates so that a smart phone can be mounted to your tripod.I also have an Arca Swiss compatible plate (an Acratech) that is especially made for my Nikon D850. It grips the camera a bit better, with absolutely no movement in any dimension against the plate, because it's formed to fit the bottom of the camera precisely, with a lip to grab the back of the camera. This K&F plate is flat across all dimensions in order to fit any camera base or lens collar. As such, there can be a little movement of the camera/lens against the plate, depending on how tight you are able to attach the plate. The plate does not offer an abundance of non-slip rubber surface to help adhere the camera/lens to the plate. In the third photograph, only the four long and narrow strips are utilized. The three larger rectangular rubberized areas are below the metal base surface and only come into play when mounting a cell phone. For this lack of a strong grip, I deducted one star. For many cameras, there just isn't sufficient rubber surface area to prevent camera/lens movement against the plate. Smaller, lighter, cameras will fare better.Despite the shortcoming described above, this is a well made plate comprised of quality materials. It has significant flexibility to double as a smart phone mount. If you don't need that smart phone capability, a more dedicated plate that can adhere better to the camera or lens collar would be a better choice.It comes packaged in a very sturdy and protective plastic box -- great for packing with your camera gear so it won't get damaged nor will it scratch any of your equipment.
