Perfect fit, solid build and does what I expected. OK instructions, just needs trial and error as focussing and exposure need to be set manually.

Easy to install and lots of features. I loaded the app on my phone to use Bluetooth but did not get the gateway, so no WiFi or Alexa use, but how many ways does one need to unlock the door?

Great quality for the price
I like how this monitor does not need to be connected to wifi and the image quality is clear. The price point is very reasonable, as well, compared to other monitors. Overall, great quality and value for the price.

Simple to use. Well designed.
What I like the most about this system - no need to pair it with anything or set up wifi or any other stuff, it's a complete standalone camera with the dedicated receiver/monitor and works straight out of the box. Also has a night vision feature, as camera has an infrared sensor. It's equipped with a movement and sound detection, which are standard features in todays camera systems. The quality of the screen is fine, don't need full HD or 4K, this 720p does the job well, even if zoomed in. Recommended.

Seems to improve Ring cam battery life
I bought this product because the battery life on my Ring doorbell camera went from almost two months to barely a week (on batteries that were only a few months old). I had read that this can be in part due to the camera losing connection to wifi, it will constantly try to reconnect, draining battery life. Since my router and modem are on a different floor from my camera, and changing that is not an option, it was my understanding that even though I do not actually need the chime part, this functions as a wifi extender somewhat. Sure enough, it does seem to have helped. The wifi signal is still not strong, but better, and battery life is back to where it was originally.

best non-wifi baby camera
i have a wifi based camera above the crib but needed another one that's non-wifi cuz once in a while spectrum would do their maintenance which actually shuts down the network in my area and it was annoying not being able to monitor the baby. i've done some comparison with other baby cameras as well as my wifi one, but the dxr-8 has no lag while doing the push talk. also the sound coming from the camera also does not lag like others. quality is good enough for me to see everything i need to. i love how i can purchase separate batteries and they're cheap too! love this portable camera, it's easier to move it around when i go to my friend's house too.

Is the powercore also waterproof? Even with a gfi
Love this camera, easy to set up an great view. Wasn’t sure if wifi would work but it does with great signal. Love love it! Not sure if power cord is waterproof too? It’s plugged in a GFI plug? Do I need to worry or is the gfi an powercord waterproof too?????????

Does the job but not great quality.
Does the job, but not a fan of the poor quality buttons which rock back and forth upon touch. The dim level also does not save when you turn it on/off. Maybe I need the WifI bridge to save the setting, but that seems silly. A bit overpriced. Seems like a $30 switch.
