I’ve got a fair bit of K&F photographic accessories and always found them well made and good value for money. This is the first time I’ve had a look at a non-photographic product and I’m not disappointed.

Firstly, this is very well packaged and gives the impression of a premium product. No plain cardboard box for these guys, this is quality packaging. The main unit itself is very well put together and feels substantial, no doubt helped by the 10,000mAh battery. The finish is mainly matt and appears to have a slightly rubberised feel which makes it very tactile to use. Charging is via USB-C and there is an included cable, but I do wish that manufacturers would include a USB-C to USB-C cable instead of the USB-C to USB-A. I seem to have dozens of the latter just lying around.

There are numerous accessories included plus a very useful storage bag. Even though the accessories will attach to both ends, the majority of them are for the blower end. The suction end is bevelled so even though the bits will attach, they stand proud of the attachment point as you can see in the photograph.

The vacuum filter attachment simply pushes on and fits very securely so unless you give it a bang will not come loose. The filter unit is quite sizeable and you may be tempted not to fit it but the suction end is always on so if you are in a dusty environment it will always be pulling in material so it may be worth keeping the filter in place.

Saying that, the main use for me is as a blower unit. I have a car with lots of little recesses that are very difficult to clean, yet seem like dust and dirt magnets (thank you Polestar) and the K&F is excellent and blowing the crud away. The attachments offer a variety of sizes to get into the smallest of spaces. When it comes to the operational noise level, it’s not particularly quiet even on the lowest setting and is very loud on the highest setting and comparable to a small vac.

As to the power it’s more than enough to blow away dust and debris and is very powerful at the highest setting. There is also a small but useful light on the blower side of the unit.

To switch the unit on just hold down the power button then subsequent presses of the button cycles through the speeds. If you want to switch the unit off when on a lower speed just hold the button down to power off which saves having to cycle through the higher speeds.

As for the vac part of the unit, it’s not something I use a lot. When I have it’s done the job okay and is very useful for keyboards and other small areas.

This is a great bit of kit that does the job well. I’ve used it for awkward areas on the car, computer equipment, cameras and lenses and it really does move the dust.
