Good Quality! Great Picture.
So I grabbed this K&F Concept ND/PL filter kit for my Insta360 Go Ultra mostly because I’ve been doing more outdoor filming—hikes, snowboarding, even just walks under the blazing sun—and I needed something to handle that overly bright, washed-out look. Honestly, I didn’t expect much because the price isn’t crazy high, but it kinda surprised me right out the gate. The kit comes with four filters: ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL, and ND64/PL. Basically, they each cut light by different amounts while also acting like polarizers, which is clutch for reducing reflections off water or snow and making skies pop a bit more. I slapped the ND16/PL on during a mid-day shoot in a wide-open park, and wow—the difference in motion blur and contrast was noticeable right away. It didn’t feel so flat and overexposed anymore. The sky had a nice deep blue tone, and the glare off puddles was toned down just enough without making it look fake.Build-wise, these feel pretty premium for what they cost. They’re made of AGC optical glass and have this multi-layer nano-coating thing going on, which I guess helps with clarity and scratch resistance. I didn’t baby them either—one slipped out of my bag and hit the pavement (heart attack moment), but not even a scratch. They’re also water-repellent, and I tested that by accident during a drizzly shoot. A few droplets rolled right off the lens like nothing happened. What I really appreciate is the screw-on design. No janky push-fit nonsense that feels like it’ll fall off mid-shoot. Once it’s on, it’s solid. Even during movement-heavy stuff like biking or running, it stayed put and didn’t mess with the camera’s stabilization. That said, switching filters out in the middle of shooting can be a little clunky—especially with cold fingers. Definitely not ideal when you’re in a rush. Now, I did notice a tiny bit of color shift with the ND64/PL, especially when the sun was hitting just right. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, and I was able to tweak it in post, but still something to keep in mind if you’re picky about color accuracy straight out of the cam. Also, if you’re filming with super wide angles, there’s a slight risk of vignetting at the corners, though I only noticed it with certain lighting setups.Overall though, for the price, this filter kit is a solid win. You get real ND/PL performance, it protects your lens, and the image quality boost is worth it—especially when you’re filming in harsh light or on reflective surfaces. If you’re not trying to spend a fortune on filters but still want your Insta360 footage to look more polished and cinematic, this is a smart pickup. I’ve been using it regularly and honestly don’t see myself shooting without it anymore.Would definitely recommend for anyone doing action shots, travel vlogs, or just outdoor filming in general.
