I wanted to extend my camera stand to put other accessories, including a phone to be able to shoot the same scene at two different focal lengths. I already own a foot from this brand which, I am satisfied with, so I went for this product. I did not know the principle of the articulated magic arm. I understand the name better, all you have to do is position the arm as you want, turn a screw so that everything freezes (arms and ball joints). It's really super practical and stable. I used to use a remote clamp with one arm, made up of lots of small plastic ball joints, and I am light years ahead in terms of stability. You can really put your arm in the position you want. I also like that the holder (1/4 screw) is equipped with a wheel, it makes it much easier to attach devices/accessories. I would definitely recommend this product. I was able to compare with another clamp + magic arm, a bit cheaper (very good too). This one is better, in terms of ergonomics and supported weight. I will do this choice again if I have to buy a third magic tweezers. For sure.
