I got this little guy to use with my 3D printer. I just set it up on my control box, aim it at the bed of the printer, plug into the computer and start the software. Now when I am away or upstairs I can check on my print. Very handy because I do many larger prints that take hours, and I don't want to sit there and watch, but I want to be aware once in a while what is going on, because bad things can happen! I have my computer connected to my wi-fi, and I put Remote Desktop on my cell phone, so when I want to watch my printer I go on line, select Remote Desktop, select which computer I want, and I can watch the cameras output on my phone. I also have a wi-fi switch that the printer is plugged into; if something is not kosher, or the print is done, I can just open the software on my phone for the switch and shut it off. I love it. The picture quality is nothing to brag about, but it is well enough for my uses with the printer or watching cats or stuff like that. I have not used the audio portion of it, so I cannot comment on that.

 Please see video for a quick review of picture quality.I use these in the water proof case most of the time as I am out on a kayak.If I didn't use them in this case, the audio still is so poor that it is unusable. See audio sample in video below. I was 6" away from the mic on both cameras. I figure I have two, so it is a design issue. Not a one off.That is all the cons. Now for the pros:1. Slow Mo (up to 120FPS in 720p)2. Adjustable viewing angle3. Excellent 4k video and picts4. 2k @ 60fps for slowing down a bit without losing frames5. Touch screen that is accurate and menu system is easy to navigate6. Batteries last better than my hold GoPro Hero 5. 1.5 to 1.75 hours7. Comes with most of the accessories most people will need8. Comes with a second battery9. A two pack with a charger is very inexpensive to add on10. Remote control is great and works perfectly - just wish it had a light facing forward to tell me if it was recording11. Best value of all the ones I have tried (I have tried three total, including Akaso).12. Excellent build quality13. Mount directly to a tripod without a need for an accessory14. Zoom in on the 4K images attached - amazing!

I think this hits the sweet spot of cheap and good image quality (plus a bucket load of misc parts to connect) for an ideal action-cam. This doesn't give you the software, or to be honest razor sharp focus of the HERO - but it also costs a fraction; which for me anyways means I'm less worried about it getting run over - so ultimately it better fulfills the intended purpose more so than the much more expensive semi-pro versions.PROS:* Surprisingly good stabilization* Resolution is decent, no obvious jpeg artifacts.* added bonus of the generic action cam bits to secure it; which are fairly interchangeable with other brands. I used it with a RAM mount, but there are lots of options - including some that you can use with zip-ties.CONS:* Color science. If you were using this for commercial purposes, you will need color grading to avoid a washed out look - but that is par for the course.* On board editing is weak.... not that I care, I use cameras to capture then use a work-flow on my editing machine.* Battery life could be better, but you could fix this with external USB battery pack (but you need a 'dumb' one that doesn't use soft switches).

Initially we bought this in 2018 for our baby. We loved it. It did exactly what we needed to do. To our own fault (I think) the battery stopped holding a charge. This was annoying but understandable because we would leave it plugged in all night. The batter wasnt big enough to stay on all night without being plugged in. Fast forward a year. The monitor would randomly shut off and not turn on for days. Plugged in or not. I reached out to customer service and they offered to replace the monitor. It seemed like a hassle because we were on vacation at the time. The monitor turn back on and continued operating as before (with short battery life) so we never sent it in.Fast forward to now. Over a year and a half passed the purchase date. The camera itself struggles to pan to the left. I reached out to customer service and even though I was outside of the warranty period they still allowed me to get a full replacement!! Wow! I just shipped the old unit back today and already have recieved notification I will recieve the new monitor in 2 days! Fantastic customer service. There was no arguing/hassle/etc, just friendly customer service willing to help me out! I recommend this product to everyone based on their customer service alone! I will e purchasing additional cameras as my family grows! Thank you infant optics!

Already had a Arlo 2 base station and a few cameras. The essential works with the base station I have (checked this before I bought it) and was set up in no time with it. I quickly added new rules and adjusted existing ones, so the camera would work as I wanted. There was no USB charger included, but a cable of course - no issue there, as everyone these days probably has a ton of USB chargers around, I like that actually. Further is there a screw on wall mount included, I like it better then the standard magnetic mounts where and intruder easily can grab the cam if mounted outside. Those also include their own alarm/siren what might come in handy. I like the 3 months subscription trial and the fact that I could set activity zones without being on a charger, as compared to the Arlo 2 CAMs. Over all I am glad I did my research and decided for this model, got me actually a second one of these cause I think they work very well in combination with my existing set up and base station. I also like the nice light they put on every time they detect motion in the dark, as this makes it clear that they are recorded already - what I prefer.

I use to work outdoor retail and we obviously sold the GoPro. Watching the cool videos made me day dream about capturing my fly fishing trips on film, especially those unexpected moments of pure beauty like leaves dancing in the fall breeze, bald eagles appearing from thin air 20 feet overhead, deer full speed sprinting across a ~3`deep river, and surprise bear in the woods to name a few. However, the price tag prevented these dreams from ever being more. Then this past Christmas my mom took a shot in the dark and got me the Akaso Brave 4 Pro. I had never heard of it, never looked into other options for adventure cameras, and let those dreams of recording my fishing trips die long ago. However, had I known there was a cost effective alternative that actually took fantastic shots and video, I would have years of film already. Super simple to use both on taking film or pics, as well as viewing them when you're done. I had no expectations and now have an easy to use system that fits my already used fishing system perfectly! If you are on the fence, just go ahead and pull the trigger on this quality product.

I bought the 5 camera pack last year on Prime Day as we are the only residential on the street & so except for one company, it's just us on the weekends. Now we do change the batteries more often, but we have a LOT of critter activity. You can change the sensitivity if desired, but while much of the activity is kittens, bunnies, & groundhogs, 1/2 of it is skunks & racoons. We like being able to look at the cameras before taking the dog out. The live view & 2 way speakers are great. I've noticed lurkers (was alerted) & asked if I could help them & watched them make up a name to ask for or tell me they must be at the wrong house. Being able to do this from our Views or our cell phones (home or not) is also a big plus. They can't tell we aren't home. We close on a larger house next week & I was waiting for Prime Day again. I just bought another 5 pack & a floodlight with 3 - so 8 more. Plus I have 2 doorbell cams. Setup & battery changes are super easy. They've also held up to rain, snow, a cat 1 hurricane (winds!!). Even the squirrels can't hurt them. We do get some cute images from those little goofballs!

I ordered 5 of them and the picture and movie recording look great. I can hear the sound very well and can speak through them if I wanted to. The range is excellent. I have had other cameras from Ring in the past and could never get some to work outside the house. With these I was actually able to attach to a tree in the yard for our Koi Pond and an a basketball hoop so it is actually facing the house. I like that you can arm and unarm when you want and there are a lot of setting to choose from. I like the small profile making it hard to detect. I would definitely recommend this product. I did read where someone mentioned a monthly fee, but I don't see anything regarding this yet...maybe that happens if you record too many motion films or some such thing but those are easy to delete to same memory. Night vision is excellent...very bright black and white....daytime is very good color.Update: the night vision is pretty bad. I stayed that it was great earlier, but I guess I did not wait enough. When it is dark, so is the picture....there is a little light reflected from the device so if an object is within a few feet it will show up, but if the picture is showing something about 6 or more feet. I will try to clean the camera lenses and see if that helps at all.
