They simply work better than other lens caps
Yes, you pay a premium. To me its well worth having a lens cap that's very secure yet easy to remove and clip on.

Holy crap thats bright
These things work great and honestly might be a bit to bright for at night. My wife loves it because she can see everything, I hate it because its blinds me. Better than any others we have used for putting out light and seeing the steps at night though.
