I have no idea if Xtellar trail camera is better, but I do know that with a good SD card-this trail cam works just fine- I don't have any problems with it.

I'm sorry I can't help. Mine has never put a pfd file on the sd card. Perhaps its your computer or the device you are using to read the card???

Not sure what you mean. You can enter a code that you must put in in order to operate the camera.

It will capture pics of anything this is in range and moving. I believe it takes video or pics but not at same time.

If you mean how long does it last? Depends on where you put it and if it's triggered all the time. In a high trafficked area, the battery will maybe a week. The same concept is for the outdoors. It also depends if you use lithium or alkaline batteries. Lithium will last longer. I set my camera next to a goose nest and she constantly set it off. Lithium batteries lasted 2 weeks

I use a 64GB San Disk Ultra Class 10 SDXC card . It works. No issues have been noted. In my research faster transfer rates are best so I made sure I used a Class 10.
