It is NOT made of metal, its structure is made of some type of rigid polymer.
Axial angle control can lose stability if several accessories are attached (due to weight) if the support is not kept vertical or tilted, in other words, weight capacity refers to what it supports statically and not dynamically.

Portable tripod and selfie stick with additional attachment locations
This is a good value small tripod. It has a holder for phone with two 1/4" threads on the phone holder, and a cold shoe.
It took me a little extra effort get it to extend the first time, but after that I feel like it's going to extend well and hold weight without sliding down.
The adjustment knob feels nice, and across from it is another 1/4" attachment point for something like a light or microphone.
The shutter button is a Bluetooth button, those are cheap and easy to find, but it's nice that they included it. The color of the shutter matches the rest of the tripod nicely, but again, If you have a nicer one, just stick with that.
This is a great value tripod, and I recommend it!

When folded this selfie stick can easily be carried in your pocket. It's lightweight and good quality with a smooth swivel that locks firm. Although I wouldn't leave the tripod standing in a wind, it can support a full sized phone while fully extended on a level surface. You pair the remote to your cell phone and it works like a charm. Just remember to turn it off when you are done or the battery will probably drain. Love this little item and it will be getting lots of use.

Great Little Tripod!
This little phone tripod is well-designed and easy to use. The three legs are easy to pull out and have little rubber bottoms to help keep the tripod in place. There is also rubber on the sides, so that if you were using this as a selfie-stick, you would have some friction on the handle (which is the legs folded in). It is a little hard to pull out the extensions to make it taller, but they do come out and work well. The part that holds your phone is works well too. One of my favorite features on this is the ball joint at the top of the stick. You can rotate it to almost any position, but not straight downward (like if you were trying to film something on a table).
There is also a remote control which paired perfectly with my IPhone.
