I ordered this light stand because I own a K&F Concept articulating tripod and I love it. I believe in the brand so I went for it. Another win. This tripod is extremely light weight. Space grade aluminum or something. The legs click into adjustable positions as with my tripod. The whole thing folds down so incredibly small and the carrying bag is super convenient. The bag is lower quality than the one that came with my tripod but this is a less complex device so no biggie.I use it to hold up my Godox SL60W monolight with a 32" Neewer softbox. It holds up both well without sandbags. At the lower height, it feels stable as ever. 4ft and above I would recommend sandbags. I actually would recommend sandbags for any light stand at any height out of pure peace of mind and CYA. Personal sentiments. I love it and plan to order a second to hold up a motorized slider. I'll update this review once I get that setup up and rolling.

I wanted to test out this tripod as a light stand for my 28" softbox and speedlite. While yes, it worked, when I had it extended higher, I did not feel 100% confident. With the softbox and speedlite attached at the top and it extended about 6 feet, it didn't feel completely stable. With that being said, the quality of the tripod is good and it is so light and easy to use which I think is its main selling point. It is also very portable and even comes with a carrying case. I can see this being great for smaller monitor lights or really anything that you can attach to a tripod that isn't too heavy. I am leaning more towards 4.5 stars but I will give it 5 just because of the build, portability, and functionality.

I'm a professional photographer, I usually need to set up photography softbox lighting with a tripod light stand, the product is very useful, it is light, stable and very easy to carry around, it can go down to very short and up to very tall, I highly recommend it.

This light stand is SUPER compact and portable. It’s light weight but still sturdy. It’s legs are like tripod legs instead of the traditional light standretractible foot. This light stand would be perfect for smaller lights or lights that aren’t extremely heavy. If you use it for heavier lights (Such as a 120D) I definitely would suggest using sandbags as this is a very light weight light stand. I love the quick locks as oppose to the twist locks. If you mount a boom arm it would be a great option for external mics such as boom and shotgun mics. Has the ability to take up much less space than the traditional light stand which is great for small studio spaces and the feet have grips so you won’t scuff up your floors. There’s also a counterweight hook on the bottom, similar to what you see on tripods so that you can add extra stability if needed. It also extends pretty high but I would suggest using counterweight if using this at its max height! Overall a great little addition if you don’t want to carry around a high lightstamd evwrywhere for small projects. Also would be great to used for photography flashes or modifiers. If you uses it outdoors in wind, you should use a counterweight or have an assistant hold it. Great for the price!

It was just the one what I wanted . because it is sturdy and durable. Don't make any noise, when you move it. that is exactly what the online picture showed and the description listed.
