the wand functions well, light weight, extends easily, locks securely,If you use this for a camera mount, the selection of the separate mounting unit is important.Do not get the the type with the ball.

The monopod is rigid. The flip locks are solid. It feels very light to carry. It works well.
Three minor shortcomings: 1) The wrist strap is quite small and light. My hand barely fit through it. I replaced it with a slightly larger and heavier one to make it comfortable when hiking. 2) The foam grip is just held in place by friction. It can slide down when hiking. A few drops of cyanoacrylate glue fixed that. 3) The strap on the carrying bag is too short to sling it across your back. You can only carry it in your hand or on one shoulder but not diagonally across your back. I sewed on a longer strap.

Easy to extend legs, legs stayed in place, lightweight, and felt sturdy. I used it with a full size Canon camera without any issues.

I took this out with an attached Nikon Coolpix P1000, which weighs about 3 lbs. I used it to photograph seabirds along Puget Sound. It appears to be quite sturdy and gave me good support for scanning the water.

I bought this monopod because for some situations my tripod mount restricted movement too much. The monopod help stabilize the shot, and it's easy to either move the camera while the monopod lends stability, or to pick everything up and rapidly set up the next shot. This monopod is of good quality, is easy to expand & collapse, and comes with a handy carrying case.

Works as , maybe better than, a walking stick, easy to carry in my pack, and Very strong. Does not add a lot of stability for my Canon, under zoom conditions. I am very satisfied with this purchase
