The quality of this filter is superb and no x pattern as advertise. The build of it is second to none and the threads are clean as a whistle.

This ND filter was great and I was able to get some amazing long exposure shots with it!

But, if you have an ultra wide angle (15mm, 16mm, etc), which most people use to take landscape photography, you start having this vignette around the 4 corners of your image. They are not a big problem if you’re simply taking quick shots since they can be cleaned up in post using Lightroom or Photoshop.

However, if you do long exposures trying to capture motion such as water surface of a lake or a waterfall, those vignette or stick around there and you basically won’t be able to get any usable data in the corners of your image. For many of my landscape shots I had to resort to cropping in to get rid of the vignettes which still resulted in an amazing shot, but defeats the purpose of me shooting at 15mm.

The filter also seems to distort the natural colours a bit but it wasn’t a huge deal since it didn’t mess up my colours that much.

I do love the little features like having stops at the min/max range of the filter so you don’t turn past what it is capable of.

Build is EXCELLENT, bought this to use with the Tamron 70-180mm. Pushes the contrast a bit too much for me when shooting portraits so unsure if I can recommend for that use case.

Also it’s important to note if you’re shooting with this lens, the TAMRON 70-180mm, the lens hood WILL NOT fit while this filter is mounted.

This is the best budget ND filter by far. It has 2-32 stops, no vignetting, no ugly tints or artifacts, and no compromise to the quality of the image. Build is solid and comes with a great case, all for an affordable price. Definitely recommend!

This is my first rotating ND filter. I bought this for my Canon R5 kit lens (24-105mm lens). It works well for landscape and pretty much anything outdoors. I generally do not go beyond about ND16 so I have not yet noticed the dreaded "X".

The one complaint I will levy is that it produces a vignette at every stop. However, this is easily fixable in Photoshop or other photograph editing software.

While not a really valid complaint, I cannot use my lens hood. But a hand functions fine in place of it.

A very well made filter, a bit heavier in construction than other filters I have used. However due to its width, you can not attach the lens hood. But since this is a variable filter requiring rotation you. may not want to use the hood anyway.

I'm really happy that this filter can be screwed onto my Nikkor Z 24-70 f/4 S with the lens hood in place. Obviously I need to reach into the lens hood to adjust the filter, but that's ok. No vignetting that I can see.The filter works great, nice smooth action and a great range of density.

Very nicely packaged. Seems like a high quality product. I've just been using it for a couple of weeks for videography on a Canon lens for the Canon R5. 3 or 4 stops seems like plenty in order to cut down brightness when shooting in bright sunlight at 24fps and a shutter speed of 1/50th sec. Turns easily to select the amount of filtering you need. Threads are smooth. I see absolutely no problem with the resulting videos. Clear and clean and sharp.

I really like this filter. I've been using since November and have had pretty good luck. I can stop down and get some great shots. I was using the filter today and noticed that it's dirty in-between the 2 filter glass. Is there any way to separate the piece without breaking it to clean that? That's the only issue I have. Would love to know. Otherwise, great product. Love it! Thanks.
Great, but how do you clean inbetween the glass?
