awesome tripos. save hundreds of dollars of the manfrotto equivalent and get this instead. it solidly secures my canon 5d mk III and my tamron 150-600. foam grip is very comfy and the monopod is easy to detach. also the markers for taking panorama photos are very precise and the plate is easily secured to the ball head. overall very nice contraption.

This is a good quality tripod with a really smooth ball head that would be an excellent choice if you are less than 64" tall. If you are taller than this, like me, then you will need to extend the final leg section and that's when the tripod begins to flex and it's just not quite stable enough to take a large dSLR with a large lens, hence me rating this with three stars - if that final section was thicker or if the other tubes were slightly longer so the final section wouldn't be needed, then I would give it five stars.

Very nice Tripod for the money. Construction and materials are great and everything works perfectly. The stand is very easy to operate and very sturdy in just about any position. The ball head pans and pivots very smoothly and the legs extend and lock into place precisely. The camera mount is also nicely made and of high quality. My only gripe is that the locking knob for the camera falls directly underneath the camera body so there is not a lot of room for your fingers to rotate the locking knob. It works but would have been nice if it was lower or longer and out of the way of the camera body. Included is a handy carry bag and a what appears to be a shorter center pole.

Okay, I'm going to break down this review:PACKAGING-Comes in a nice fitted box with nice branding - win-Tripod comes in a zipper carry bag (YES with a shoulder strap attachment) - win-Tripod itself comes wrapped in a plastic bag to prevent damage - win-Tripod Head comes wrapped in a soft cloth pouch to prevent scratches - winBUILD and FUNCTION-All of the parts on this tripod are metal, minus the twist locks of course - win-Tripod is quite hefty (this is a daily workhorse tripod) - win-Ball head works great! Really hefty and the knobs work smoothly - win-Panning dial runs REALLY silky smooth - win-Release Plate has liquid leveller and there is room to access your camera's battery without having to take it off the tripod - win-Four Section extension with twist locks (twist locks also run very smooth)- win-MONOPOD feature is very user friendly. You simply unscrew the head, detach the specified leg, remove the middle column, and connect the two with a screw joint (included in the kit) - win-Has a hook for attaching extra weight - winVALUE-At a little over a hundred dollars, this is a no-brainer. The hefty built on this tripod, plus the monopod feature, plus it comes with a really nice ball head with a smooth panning competes with high end tripods priced around $300-$400 at least.RECOMMENDATION-This tripod is a WIN! It is packed with features and is built like a tank. It is a workhorse tripod. The nice packaging is also a nice bonus!

Not the happiest with this tripod. The Good- It looks really nice- It feels really nice- it comes with a bag which is really well made- The Ball head is really nice and easy to adjust- Compact, fits nicely in a bag if you choose not to use the one that is provided. The Bad- You constantly need to re tighten everything- If you finally get annoying with it and do it too hard it's a pain in the a$$ to open it again, this goes for all of the legs.- The design to expand the legs is really cool but not very practical, it takes much longer to adjust the height or just pack it back up as it would with the regular clips.- The mono pod is dangerous to use as a hiking stick, I fell once because the screw got loose (my fault for not tightening it more but then you get into the issue I listed above).- The quick release plate is not the best, depending on how you put your camera you will have a hard time to take off your camera once you have tightened it.I asked for a refund but was asked to record a video and I don't feel like doing that at all. I will keep this tripod because I don't feel like all the hassle.

great tripod for the price. This feels like it cost much more than the $99 I paid for it. A huge upgrade from the budget ones on Amazon if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars.

I was looking for a sturdy tripod and this one works awesome. Have a canon with a 1300mm lens and holds it no problem.
