22" Magic Arm Clamp Kit, Overhead Desk Camera Mount, Long Articulating Friction Boom Arm for Phone, Action Camera, LED Light, Microphone, K&F CONCEPT
SKU: KF31.201
This is an excellent mount kit. It is well-made and allows the user an infinite number of options when it comes to positioning. We have a small, mobile content generation kit that we use to create kitchen demonstration videos and this mount is a welcome addition to the kit. It is very easy to use and the asymmetric knobs to lock pieces in place generate plenty of leverage to quickly secure each endpoint. The clamping end features a rubber overlay that helps increase grip while protecting the surface of what the mount is clamping to. The expandable jaw of the mount accommodates a wide variety of items and we have thus far used it to support a light and phone. Thus far, we have had the mount support an iphone 16+ and a small light, neither of which strained the mount.

This thing is actually very nice for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. It's definitely a premium product. It grips onto what I need it to while keeping whatever I use it for stable and secure. Whether it be smaller cameras, lighting, microphones, etc. It's very versatile. It locks things in place with peace of mind. So far I have used it for camera, lighting and microphones. I'm sure it could function for many other things as well. It folds nicely to fit into storage and could be easily brought on the go. This isn't some low quality grip with plastic clamps either. It is lightweight yet surprising solid. Shipping was fast as well. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to mount something within it's weight range. I can't wait to use it out on freelance shoots to hold things in place instead of lugging around another stand or tripod. It could double as a grip for something as well. The foam grip makes it comfortable to hold. I may actually pick up some more of these to use in-conjunction with each other.

I received this 22-inch K&F Concept Magic Arm Kit to facilitate overhead desk shots and complex lighting setups in my studio. My intent was to find a significantly longer articulating arm than the standard 11-inch models, providing the reach needed to position a camera or microphone directly over a workspace while keeping the mounting base securely clamped to the edge of a desk.
What I Like About the Product (Pros)
The 22-inch extended reach is the primary advantage, offering a two-section adjustable design that is much more versatile for overhead videography. The anti-deflection deadbolt lock structure at both ends is a high-quality touch; it ensures that once my gear is tightened, it doesn't spin or sag, which is a common failure point in cheaper friction arms. The CNC-machined aluminum alloy build feels premium and far more durable than plastic alternatives. I also appreciate the rotatable red pads on the super clamp, which provide a superior grip on both flat and cylindrical surfaces like light stands or table edges.
Drawbacks to the Product (Cons)
Due to the length of the arm, the load capacity is effectively lower when fully extended compared to shorter arms; while it can handle up to 4.4 lbs (2kg), you need to be very careful with heavy DSLR setups at full extension to avoid vibration. The T-type knobs are large and easy to grip, but they can occasionally feel stiff if they haven't been used for a while. Additionally, the extra length means the arm requires a very stable mounting point, as any movement at the base is magnified at the end of the 22-inch reach.
Setup: The kit is very easy to assemble. It uses a single ergonomic wingnut system to lock the double 360-degree ball heads into position. The super clamp attaches to surfaces between 0.78 and 1.96 inches wide, and the 1/4" screws on both ends make it compatible with almost any modern camera or accessory.
Build/Quality: Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, the arm features stainless steel gear joints with built-in springs for a smooth, gliding adjustment feel.
Functionality: It functions as a professional-grade overhead boom arm. The inclusion of ARRI-type locating pins prevents equipment from drifting, which is essential for consistent framing in video work.
Durability: The anodized finish is scratch-resistant, and the mechanical joints are designed for heavy repetitive use in a studio environment.
Care: Minimal care is needed. I occasionally check the rubber padding on the clamp to ensure it is clean and free of debris to maintain maximum friction. Storing the arm in its folded position protects the ball joints from accidental impact.
Ease of Use: This arm is exceptionally user-friendly. The ability to lock multiple joints with a single twist makes repositioning a camera or light a one-handed operation, which is a significant time-saver during a shoot.
Price for Value: For a heavy-duty, 22-inch articulating arm, the K&F Concept 22" Magic Arm offers excellent value. It provides professional-level stability and reach that usually costs significantly more from specialized cinema-grip brands.
Summary and Recommendation
The Multi-function Adjustable 22" Magic Arm & Super Clamp is a top-tier choice for creators needing an overhead desk mount or extended reach for lights and mics. Its all-metal construction and anti-deflection design make it a reliable, high-performance tool. I would highly recommend this for streamers, product photographers, and anyone doing overhead "how-to" videos.

I recently got the K&F CONCEPT 22-inch magic arm kit for my photo studio workbench, and it’s fantastic. The arms articulate smoothly in multiple directions, making it easy to position my lights, phone, and action camera exactly where I need them. The clamps are extremely strong and secure, gripping flat surfaces or cylindrical objects without slipping. What really impresses me is how well built it feels, constructed from sturdy aluminum, it’s solid, durable, and built to last. The anti twist pins and non slip silicone pads give added stability and peace of mind when holding heavier equipment.
On top of that, the design is unique and distinctive, making it not just functional but visually appealing in the studio. Overall, it’s a versatile, strong, and high quality set that any creator, streamer, or photographer will appreciate.
