As a moderate Insta360 X5 user, it takes it almost everywhere. From dusty trails in South Texas, vacations, and roadside adventures with my furry friends, I needed a selfie stick that would match my lifestyle, so I opted for the K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Quick Release Foldable Selfie Stick. Most selfie sticks that I've tried are flimsy, tedious, or just plain boring. My first impressions right out of the box were the build quality, which is crafted from high-strength aluminum alloy, giving it a rugged, durable feel without being too heavy. A high-quality silicon lens cover comes with the kit as an added bonus, nothing spectacular, but a thoughtful gesture. The handle is ergonomically convenient for my big hands and also wrapped in soft anti-slip silicone, which makes it extremely comfortable to hold, even during long filming sessions in scorching heat. In addition, the stick is equipped with a magnetic quick-release with a nifty safety lock that is easily accessible and conveniently placed, so it doesn't get in the way or accidentally flipped. When extended, it reaches 89 cm (35 inches), which is a more than generous amount of length, for a more cinematic depth. I was skeptical about the invisible selfie stick effect not working properly, but it works flawlessly, a major plus. The cherry on top, in my opinion, is the foldable design, which makes this stick a game-changer. When folded, it fits nicely into my backpack or a handy napsack, even with my camera attached, so it'll be ready for action with an easy flip and click. As an added option, there is a 1/4” screw interface on the bottom of the stick, which is compatible with tripods, clamps, or other action camera mounts. Although, I haven't tried this feature; I'm sure it'll come in handy.Overall, the K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Quick Release Foldable Selfie Stick delivers everything I need for my on-the-go shooting lifestyle. Received this folding selfie stick, and all I can say is WOW. I'm very impressed with it and it's easily replaced my OEM Insta360 selfie stick. Let me tell you about the things that I love about it.Just to start off with, its build quality is excellent. I've been using it now for a month, and have nothing but high praise for it. When using it, it provides the invisible selfie stick effect. It's nice and long, and also doesn't bend or arc too much while in use. Obviously the weight of the X5 does create a very minor droop, but it doesn't show up in footage. It also has a thread at the bottom for a quarter inch screw, in the event you want to attach a tripod accessory to it. I don't have one of these, but it's great to have the option in the event you do. You could also potentially add an extender to the bottom for even greater length, but this is something you would need to look into.What I also love about it is its folding capability. This is great because the original selfie stick that I have doesn't have this capability. The reason you are going to want something like this is for storing and size reduction capabilities. Typically with an original Insta360 selfie stick, it doesn't provide this capability. With this one, you're able to easily fold it up and put it in a jacket pocket or side cargo pant. As you can see from the photos that I provided, I love its latching mechanism. The first latching mechanism I'm going to speak about is the one that secures the selfie stick to the X5. It also comes with the lock switch, to prevent accidental release of the latch. This is excellent, because other similar selfie sticks do not offer this capability. This prevents accidental release of your camera, and also provides peace of mind that the camera has been properly secured within the latching mechanism.The second latching mechanism is the folding component. It clicks in place and I haven't noticed it come undone and is sturdy when in use. It securely keeps the camera in position, and when necessary you're able to easily collapse down to a reasonable compact size. When fully collapsed and folded, its size is reduced to about 6.5” x 3.75” x 1.5”. This product also comes with a silicone protective cap, which is a nice addition. I already have two of these, but it's nice to have an extra one in the event I lose one. The protective cap looks like all the others, and it's easily placed over the camera lens, and can be rinsed and washed if needed.Some important things that I think people should know about this is that it is not waterproof or designed to be inserted in wet areas. The reason I say this is because if you try to use this in ocean water, I'm almost certain that you're going to damage all the components to it. That includes the extension bars, and both latching mechanisms. Although I'm tempted to take it in the water, I STRONGLY advise against it. Saltwater is incredibly corrosive and unforgiving to devices that are not explicitly made for it. So be sure to keep this away from that type of environment. However, if you are outside and you do get some rain water on it, I want to say it should handle that better. Just make sure that you properly dry it and make sure that it doesn't rust any of its components. But the bottom line is you should keep this dry at all times.Overall, I give this product 5 out of 5 stars. Primarily because the price and value cannot be overstated. Not only is it comparable to the original OEM product, but it provides a better value in price. It's length and compacted size or unbeatable, and any content maker or filmmaker will quickly fall in love with it's portability, and usability like I have. This is a great product as a gift for yourself or others, and is a valuable tool for anybody that likes to capture everyday moments, to action sports or events. The long and short of it is that this is a must buy product.

If you want quick release and folding hinge: get this. (They're both excellent features). If you don't care about those features (and free lens cover, which is quite nice): get the official insta 2 in 1 stick which is a bit longer, bit lower price, and has tripod legs.Quick tip first: When you connect, give the cam a little tug to make sure it's secure. One time I tugged and it popped right off, so just make sure it's seated. (Wasn't a flaw, it was my fault for not clicking in all the way). That said, once you know it's seated there is an excellent feature where you click down a lock button so that squeezing the sides will no longer free the camera.Durability and build: Very solid. Nice grip on handle, extends well, strong, no bowing, feels good.Length: 89cm. Official Insta one is 114cm. So if you want something longer, something to consider.Folding hinge: Actually really useful when you fold it over like pic4 and put in your pocket, that's how I've been carrying. Note pic4 has a cheapo lens cover I had nearby, the one included is much nicer, see listing pics. Hinge only locks in vertical, not when folded in half, just something to know.

Wow, I started thinking about writing this review within seconds of taking it out of the box.-The build quality is great - I expected it to mostly plastic, but this thing almost entirely aluminum.-The presence of the 1/4-20 thread on the bottom is great for combining it with another selfie stick for longer shots or for use w/ a tripod/tripod stick.-The locking mechanism holds the unit in securely (unlike one other review who didn't seem to realize it was there).-It's nearly as long extended as the tripod insta360 stick, but much smaller when collapsed and then obviously, even smaller when folded.-Inclusion of the silicone lens guard is great.Seriously, if you have an insta360, you should buy this immediately.

I've been using a variety of monopods (selfie sticks) with my Insta360 X5 and this foldable stick is already my favorite of the bunch. It's a solid, durable build, it doesn't wobble when fully extended. I love the design, I can easily fold the camera alongside the stick which makes it more convenient to put everything into my pocket in one swoop. I believe that the most compelling reason to use this stick is that it avoids the strain on the Insta360 1/4" screw hole, which I gather is a pain-point of using Insta360 cameras - the screw hole in the camera can easily get damaged by other sticks but this clamp mount method avoids using the screw hole entirely. The clamp 'teeth' can be locked into place which prevents any accidental release.I have no intention of going back to my old selfie stick, this one is way more convenient to use and safer for the X5.

The design is sleek and compact, which makes it great for travel.I didn’t realize when I ordered it that it’s specifically made for the Insta360 X5, so it doesn’t fit my regular phone mount or camera setup. If you have the X5, though, this would be a perfect match. It’s clearly built with high-quality materials and great attention to detail. Even though it wasn’t the right fit for me, I was still impressed with the overall craftsmanship.

Nice unique foldable selfie stick for the Insta360 X5. The first one I own that folds like this. It comes complete with a bonus lens guard.The mount has a quick release magnetic mount for the X5 and can fold up with the X5 attached which is very unique and convenient to store away.It measures about 6 1/2 inches folded and around 3ft 1inches extended. Nice grip handle and feels nice to hold in your hands.You definitely should add one of these to your collection of Insta360 selfie sticks. It durable, very easy to use and functional.
