It's a nice little filter that gives a very good impression; it transforms lights into a "starry" effect, creating a beautiful artistic look, perfect for the holiday season.

It doesn't degrade image quality, which is excellent, especially with very sensitive wide-angle lenses. For the price, it's very good; I'll definitely buy another one for my 16-35mm lens (82mm).

I tested this K&F Concept 6-point star filter in 67mm on my lens for nighttime shots, and the results are truly superb. Light sources (streetlights, car headlights, string lights, etc.) are transformed into sharp, elegant stars, instantly giving the photo a cinematic and artistic look.

The optical quality is excellent: no noticeable loss of sharpness or unwanted color cast. The threading fits my lens perfectly (no play or binding), and rotating the filter makes it easy to adjust the orientation of the star branches to suit the framing.

Special mention goes to the three included cleaning cloths, which are very handy for keeping the lens spotless. The packaging is elegant, as is often the case with this brand.

I deliberately chose the K&F CONCEPT Starburst filter (6 points) in the 82mm version. This size offers maximum flexibility for adapting the filter to various lenses in my system using step-up rings.

Build Quality & Scope of Delivery: The filter comes in a sturdy plastic box, which serves as an adequate storage solution. In my case, three individually wrapped cleaning cloths were also included—a useful accessory. The filter thread is cleanly machined and screws onto the lens without any problems.

Practical Functionality: The key feature of this filter is its rotatable design for aligning the stars. On this model, the adjustment mechanism operates very smoothly and precisely. The rotational resistance is well-calibrated; it's easy enough for quick adjustments, yet firm enough to reliably hold the selected position. This allows for precise alignment of the 6-point stars, which is essential for targeted image composition.

Applications: As expected, the filter is excellent for night photography. Especially during the Christmas season at Christmas markets, it can create a stunning ambiance amidst the many strings of lights and other illuminations. But it also delivers the desired creative effect at concerts, in vehicle photography (headlights), or in product photography (specular highlights).

In conclusion: The K&F CONCEPT Starburst filter perfectly meets expectations. It produces a beautiful, clearly defined 6-point star, the axis of which can be precisely controlled thanks to the smooth rotating mechanism. A solid tool for creative lighting effects.

Some people like to use image editing to add things like light flare, and I understand that offers more flexibility and adjsutability than using a star filter, but being a traditionalist I believe the best photos are produced in the camera, not the editing software. Using a star filter on the lens lets you produce the best image possible, from the start, and enhances your photographic skills. This K&F star filter works well on several of my cameras; I used it with both zoom and fixed focal lengths on my Nikon and Sony gear. The rotatable filter lets you line up the 6-branch star burst specifically how you like it. The filter has an excellent coating which both protexts the lens as well as reducing flare and saturation. I don't use a star filter a lot, but it makes for some great night shots when I travel.
