This is a beautifully engineered Magic Arm, that can be moved in almost any direction, but then instantly locked in the desired position, with just a single turn of the central Orange Adjustment Knob. That secures both Ball Heads simultaneously. The Dual Ball Heads are also serrated with a Non-Slip Tooth Pattern, so are resolutely disinclined to move once locked.

I have lots of stand adapters, mounting clips, thread adapters, etc. for the extensively operated Photohobby but this is a real highlight. It's really made of metal. This means that if I fix heavier elements with it, I can use force to close the wing screw without anything breaking. Anyone who has such a plastic adapter knows what I mean. And even with medium-strength tightening, you can no longer move the two 1/4 inch plateaus in the balls by hand. The wing screw has a nice feel: soft to the touch and large enough for strong tightening forces. A special feature that you can easily miss: The two side holes do not look good or reduce weight. It is mentioned in the offer, but you forget it after a few weeks and it is not labelled. These are not holes, but if you look closely, they are threads. So you can make further branches or fortifications there! That is 1/4 inch, i.e. the so-called “small” photo thread, which has made it the quasi-standard in the photo and stand sector for over 80 years.

I am very familiar with K&F concept from my previous positive experience with their filters, bags and brackets etc., so when I saw this dual ball head magic arm, I was keen to try it!This magic arm features two lockable ball joints terminating with 1/4 inch threads on both sides, locked by thumbwheels with anti-scratch rubber padding.This magic arm allows me to attach peripherals to my large tripod base e.g. LED lighting, microphone, small action camera etc.The overall construction feels ultra solid as well as precise with the central thumb screw allowing simultaneous adjustment and locking of both ball heads.This magic harm will also come in handy for mounting my small projector on a mini tripod or from the ceiling bracket.

This seems to be a very high quality camera mount. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it. Personally I'll be using it to attach my GoPro to my bicycle and for that reason I think it will perform very well. The mount is solid in construction and finished very well.

The CNC aluminum with which it is made seems quite solid and has a very modern layout with a truly valuable black satin effect. Beautiful orange contrast of the release lever of the two fluid heads. On the sides of the structure there are two additional 1/4 inch holes to be able to mount, for example, a flash or an omni-directional microphone with a screw adapter. There is a black rubberized coating at the base of both screw heads, which then protects contact with the accessory you are going to screw in. More than satisfactory price-quality ratio.

Been testing this little arm during some weekend photo shoots around our small town, and it feels a solid piece of kit to me. I use it to position my external flash off-camera with my Nikon, and the 360-degree rotation makes it simple to get creative lighting angles. Its aluminum construction seems durable enough for our unpredictable weather - held up fine during a recent rainy afternoon shoot. I like that it's compact enough to toss in my camera bag without adding much weight. The anti-slip pads work well on my flash mount. Could use slightly longer reach for some setups, and the ball joints occasionally need readjusting mid-shoot. Still, it's become a regular part of my photography gear for the flexibility it offers.
