If you're a hybrid shooter, the chances are that you make use of an external monitor or recorder connected to your camera, either for a larger screen to better assess what the camera is capturing,  preview the effect a particular LUT will have on your footage, or record in a superior format than your camera supports. Or maybe you're shooting video with a mobile phone, action camera or compact camera. If you're doing this then you're likely wanting to mount your monitor/recorder or additional camera in your main camera's hotshoe. I've tried doing this in the past with mounts intended for video lights but I've always found that these have struggled to cope with the weight of a phone if you're not mounting it straight up (and sometimes not event then). This monitor mount from K&F Concept is purpose made for monitors/recorders (up to 7") and phones being mounted. It features a large thumbscrew at the bottom for clamping the mount to a hot or cold shoe and another, slightly smaller, thumbscrew at the top for the 1/4" screw used to connect whatever you're putting on the mount. Should you need to attach the mount onto something that does not have a hot or cold shoe, there is a 1/4" thread hole at the bottom. On the side there is a knob to tighten or loosen for adjusting the angle of the mount; the tilt feels quite stiff and you may have to make sure you get into the habit of double-checking you've tightened the knob as I found it held lighter items without tightening and wouldn't want to develop the bad habit of not tightening it and then having an accident when using the mount with a heavier item.Speaking of which, the mount is rated up to 3kg which is probably rather more than most things you'll be wanting to mount on it; I couldn't find anything in my kit that would seriously put this claimed rating to the test.Aside from the stiffness of the tilt, which gives reassurance that should you forget to tighten the knob your mounted item probably won't move, the mount feels high quality with its all metal construction and the thumbscrews and adjustment knob uses K&F's usual orange colour.Overall this is a solid piece of kit that is handy to keep in your kit bag for the situations when it is needed.

I'll start with the light: The product is very solidly manufactured and you immediately notice that metal dominates here. While the color of the competition is often black, K+F has anodized the knurled screws and the wing screw in color. Visually, the product is therefore very successful. In terms of price, the product is on par with the competition; there is also nothing to complain about. But now I'm getting to the shadow: I first screwed the mount to a monitor and pushed it onto the camera's hot shoe. Lo and behold: The monitor was not parallel to the display on the camera, but turned sideways. I was able to solve this problem by folding the monitor all the way back. You then have access to an Allen screw. Unfortunately, I was unable to release it with the Allen wrench included in the package because the screw was so tight that the Allen wrench bent. I therefore used another tool from my inventory, loosened the screw and aligned the bracket parallel to the camera display. There is an even bigger problem with the wing screw. This is also equipped with an Allen screw. But I was unable to solve this at all because it is extremely stuck and, in my opinion, has probably twisted a bit in the process. Of course, screws should do their job and always be properly tightened. But please not sooo hard. Clearly, no final check has taken place here. At least the monitor can still be tilted and stays in the set position. That just saved the 4th star. Conclusion: Visually a very appealing product at a fair price, but at least with my copy (and this is exactly what I can only rate), has avoidable defects.

but it's a bit too tight for the alignment (tilt and rotation) of the monitor. The K&F Concept is as usual in making quite good not too expensive products and this is one of them. It's well-made, reasonable easy to use and it's doing the job. I would only wish it be a bit more easy to rotate.I can definitely recommend it.

The K&F CONCEPT monitor mount has a really high quality 'look' about it when you view the images on the product page, and let me assure you that it looks every bit as good when you get your hands on it, arguably it looks even better. It arrives in a small simple colour-printed cardboard box and additionally in the box is an Allen key and ultra-tiny leaflet (which I can't even read!).The striking colours of the mount (black & orange) really suit the product and it looks highly professional, and I guess that it is because I can't imagine how the construction or materials could be improved upon.On the base of the mount there's a cold-shoe fitting, and in the centre of the cold-shoe is a standard 1/4" tripod threaded hole — so you can easily mount this on more or less any piece of photographic gear. The swivel head allows for an approximately 180° angle movement. It's a sufficiently tightly engineered fitting that the bright orange thumb grip is barely needed - but if you are fixing a weighty object then you can get a reassuringly tight angled and locked fix position. In the top of the mount there's a generously proportioned milled thumb wheel with a 1/4" standard tripod/monitor screw.I have some Sony Xperia equipment and also a Sony Compact mirror-less camera and external monitors can be fitted to both. For the review I hooked up the Xperia's Vlogging monitor using the K&F CONCEPT mount and it worked brilliantly, allowing me to view the camera scene without craning my neck to view the subject at camera level. The mount could also, of course, be very useful for mounting photographic lighting onto tripods & stands - making it a very versatile piece of equipment for your camera kit bag! This product is priced at fractionally under £20 and the build quality (and snazzy appearance!) more than justifies the price. A highly recommended photographic accessory.

This K&F Concept camera monitor mount is fixed to whatever you are mounting it on, using a cold shoe mount which is tightened using the lower orange knurled wheel that you can see in the photograph although, in the centre of the bottom of this is also a quarter BSW threaded hole so that you can mount it virtually anywhere. In the photograph, you can see it mounted on the cold shoe mount of a camera pistol grip. Note that you can rotate the cold shoe square mount relative to the rest of the mount so that you can orient it any way that you want.On the top of the monitor mount is a quarter BSW threaded connector although this also has two, spring-loaded locating pins so that the monitor that you are attaching to it does not spin around this joint. One thing that you have to be careful of here is that when you are connecting something to the mount, you have pushed it onto the thread otherwise the two pins tend to push it off the thread - even if there are two depressions in the monitor that match up with those on the mount - they are rarely deep enough to have the pins go all of the way in.The construction is all metal so it is certainly strong enough for the job - here being tested with a monitor and batteries that weighs over half a kilogramme. It was easily up to the job, both in terms of strength and ability to hold the monitor where I positioned it. The tilt of the monitor is controlled by the orange butterfly on the right and that holds it in place without any problems at all.The one problem that I did find with this monitor mount was that the hex socket screw that you can see in one of the photographs just under the top, knurled orange nut, is that the hex-socket nut - which holds in place the square sold shoe mount - tends to work loose so after a while of use, where you, might be adjusting its position every now and then, it works loose and the monitor will spin freely. The supplied Allen key is needed to tighten it again that access is gained by pushing the monitor backwards or forwards all of the way in order to do it. The Allen key is quite small and due to this, is likely to be one of those things that is difficult to find in the bottom of a bag.Apart from the key issue, it is well built and does the job perfectly.
Strong and well made. It does the job but make sure you have the Allen key with you. Strong and well made. It does the job but make sure you have the Allen key with you. Strong and well made. K&F Concept camera monitor mount with cold shoe adapter The little helper for everyday camera rig use is convincing across the board. The workmanship looks high-quality, the material feels sturdy and the installation on the camera or cage is smooth and safe.

I was absolutely impressed by the Monitor Mount from K&F Concept — like so many products from this brand, this accessory also provides an all-round high-quality package. The workmanship is outstanding: The housing is made of solid, precisely machined aluminum, which not only feels extremely sturdy but also really high-quality. The weight is noticeable — in the best sense of the word — and underlines the quality. The holder holds even heavier monitors or smartphones in position effortlessly and absolutely without shaking. The adjustability is particularly successful: The mount can be rotated 360° and tilted 180°, and the mechanism is pleasantly easy and quick to operate thanks to the large knurled wheel. The fixation is firm and reliable without anything changing during filming. The angle of inclination is generous and allows maximum flexibility during setup. Another real highlight is the sophisticated 1/4” screw with small locking pins left and right — so nothing can twist or loosen. The Cold Shoe Mount is also solid and snaps neatly into place — absolutely trustworthy in use. Visually, the part with its typical K&F orange also really looks great — a real eye-catcher, especially on a camera rig. Overall, a professional accessory that is more than worth the price. Clear recommendation for anyone who values quality and reliability.

Thank you for taking the trouble to read through my review For all those who don't feel like reading through everything, I'll write a pros and cons as well as a conclusion at the end. Today I would like to write my personal opinion about the K&F Camera Monitor Mount, which I was able to test as part of the Vine program. This doesn't affect my review in any way. I hope I can help you decide for or against the product. The K&F field monitor holder is a very good choice when it comes to attaching the monitor to a camera cage. I personally would not use the holder with monitor on the hot shoe itself, as the weight is decent here and I would be afraid of damaging the hot shoe in the long run. Thanks to the large locking wheels, both the holder on the cage and the camera on the holder can be screwed very well and securely. Once the monitor is attached, you can turn and swivel it without too much effort. However, when it is in the desired position, the monitor securely holds the position. If the adjustment is too easy or too difficult, you can use an Allen wrench to turn both the hot shoe insert (turning) and the head position (tilting) harder or looser. Since I don't need the option to remove it within seconds when I use my monitor, I am very satisfied with the holder. I would recommend him. Pros: + Price + Optics + Good to adjust but then also holds the position very well + Large wheel to attach the holder to the cage and to attach the camera Neutral: - Can't be solved so quickly Conclusion The K&F Monitor Mount is a cheap way to mount your field monitor firmly on the camera. If you need to be able to remove the monitor quickly, you should look for an alternative with a NATO clamp. Otherwise, the holder is a perfect solution to attach the monitor to the camera cage Thanks for taking the trouble to read my review. I hope I was able to help with the decision making process. ✅ Very solid material quality - anodized aluminum ✅ Visually mostly very clean workmanship ✅ Clean threads and surfaces ✅ With 80.5g, very high-quality feel ✅ Visually a very modern and functional design. ✅ Minimalistic packaging ❌ Unfortunately, there was minor material damage at one point during my delivery, but this only affects the appearance and not the functionality. ❌ The thread of the cold shoe was stuck on my product, but now works cleanly. ❌ The cold shoe adapter cannot be adjusted completely without tools. However, a hexagon socket is included.
Definitely recommended. Definitely recommended.

I was still looking for a sturdy monitor mount with a ¼ inch connection for my photo equipment, saw it from K&F Concept and decided on it. The reason for my quick decision was that I already have various K&F products and have always been satisfied with them in terms of quality. When the small box arrived, I was excited about this monitor mount. As I unpacked it, I noticed from the weight and structure of the bracket that I had made the right decision again. The usual quality, clean workmanship and robustness are simply great. That was exactly what I had imagined. In the beginning, this mount was actually intended for an additional monitor, but I can also use the monitor mount for other things when it comes to a secure fit. For example, even for my large 1.5 kg video light, because the maximum load capacity is 3 kg. So there is still room for improvement. The inclination of up to 180° and 360° rotation give enough freedom for individual adjustment. The flexibility and strength had already paid off for me, because even when using drones, I was able to fix my additional monitor perfectly. My conclusion: This is a robust, sturdy and high-quality monitor mount that is simply impeccable in terms of quality and workmanship. I don't want to miss this mount anymore and can recommend it out of conviction. And the price/performance ratio is in line with the quality. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my review. I hope that I was able to help a bit with this, including the photos.
