When I picked up this K&F Concept monitor stand, the first thing that struck me was the weight, it's definitely not very light but it gives a great feeling of strength. I combined it with my Sony mirrorless to mount an external monitor and I must say that it was a pleasant surprise, the aluminum alloy structure, despite being so light, proved to be more than resistant, my external monitor is very light so it didn't have any problems. What I really liked is the bidirectional adjustment system, the side knob to adjust the tension of the inclination axis is super intuitive, turns and blocks, without complications, there is also a key included to adjust the horizontal axis, which at first seemed a bit uncomfortable, but after using it a couple of times I got the hang of it, the possibility of adapting the resistance according to the weight of the monitor is very useful, especially when I change accessories. The inclination up to 180° and rotation to 360° are very comfortable, the retractable positioning pin is brilliant, it really prevents the monitor from rotating when it should not, how many times have it happened to me with other supports to see the monitor turning on its own during shooting... a nightmare! In addition to the monitor, I also mounted an LED light and, thanks to the cold shoe attachment, I added a directional microphone, all on a stand that weighs as much as a chocolate bar. For those like me who are always on the move, portability is essential, this support fits easily into any bag without adding significant weight to the equipment, I also used it mounted on a gimbal and it didn't compromise stabilization, which is remarkable. The non-slip silicone pads are a classy touch, they hold the monitor in place and prevent scratches, a little attention that makes the difference when using expensive devices. Ultimately, it is a light, versatile and robust monitor stand, it has significantly improved my workflow with Sony, allowing me to have an external monitor perfectly placed in every situation. As expected, the part is simply bombastically robust. The adjustment can be reinforced with the Allen wrench. It can be used in a variety of ways. I need to couple different parts together for my music recording station and achieve a suitable angle when recording. For me, rotatable adjustability is absolutely necessary. And so is the robustness, because the weight adjusts everything when the parts are weak. I bought some of these adapters in cheaper versions and in the end you have to realize that they don't hold any weight. And that no matter how hard you tighten them. This one is a top part.

This is one of those things you don't really think about, but it's more useful than you realise.I've been doing filmmaking with an SLR for years now, and I've always had the field monitor on its own stand, with an HDMI cable linking the 2 devices - but it was always a tripping hazard, plus quite unwieldy. This little gizmo is a godsend and game-changer. It literally reduces your footprint and means you have everything in one place. Obviously, there's a limit to what you can stack, so probably best not to stick a huge field monitor on top of your SLR. I use a 10" field monitor, which is probably pushing the weight limit on my SLR, but so far it's holding up well.

I use such cold shoe holders to set up LED lamps or an external monitor that expands my camera display. That's why I already have such a holder (from another manufacturer) and was therefore luckily able to compare two products. I've been using various K&F Concept products (all of which I bought myself) for a long time, such as ND filters, GND filters, ball heads, etc... K&F has a very interesting price/performance ratio when you compare certain items with other manufacturers. There are certain products that I have bought from other manufacturers because I never wanted to buy them from K&F, such as stands. But back to the K&F Mount: What can the K&F Mount do that my other one can't? - Thanks to the colored rings and handles, it looks more high-quality - the side mounting screw in orange, offers very good adjustment options that my other mount, for example, does not have - with 2 additional pins to the left and right of the mounting screw, can some products be secured very well against twisting What does K&F not do so well? Actually, there was just one little thing that I will observe and test over a longer period of time. When mounted on the hot shoe, my K&F mount was crooked - in other words, my LED lamp did not light up forwards, but slightly to the left. A simple turning was not possible. By loosening the orange locking screw, the head can be completely folded away. This shows an Allen screw, which could be loosened with an enclosed Allen. Everything could then be straightened out and screwed back on again. Whether all of this will be fixed now will be seen in further application. Conclusion: If you want to use your camera's hot shoe to attach e.g.: - LED lamps - action cam, etc., then I will give you a very clear purchase recommendation for the K&F Concept Mount! The price is definitely competitive right now, with minor equipment advantages compared to other manufacturers.

The part is very cleanly and perfectionistically manufactured down to the smallest detail. No edge or corner is too sharp, the screws run smoothly and securely, nothing scratches or scrapes, no paint defects or scratches. The dimensions are accurate and the materials are of high quality. It fits perfectly and makes working fun. The particle also looks cool, with the eye-catching color almost perfect for my favorite cameras.

First impressions, item received as advertised, swivel cold shield 1/4" mount, load capacity of 3 Kilos. As per normal a really nicely made, designed mount from K&F. Looks great, all the joints feel strong, and a good amount of tension to keep them positioned as desired. Good size thumb screw. The unit is mainly made of aluminium, with what appears to be (from my perspective / STC) stainless steel screws etc. It's also reasonably light. All in all just well made, well designed, functional adapter.

This high quality mount from K&F ticks a lot of boxes for my camera rig, it provides versatility, while remaining small, light and, most importantly, stays locked in place. #It is perfect for my uses with a field monitor and/or wireless transmitter. It attaches easily with the cold shoe, locks in place with the locking nut and also attaches to the standard thread on my appliance easily.I have found the mount can get very stiff and with nothing attached to it I struggle to adjust it.Overall for £20 at time of review, I am very happy with the price to value.

Nickel, nothing to complain about, solid construction, minimal space requirements. The articulated attachment seems very reliable and the handle to mobilize it is large enough not to hurt your fingers and to be able to loosen it easily. Very good brand in addition to that, it is not the first of their products that I have and each time the quality is there.

The quality of this cold shoe mount is spot on, and I love that the colour matches the lens mount detailing on my Sony. The whole thing feels high quality, with really nice finish and fit. It locks in place well for me, and the big knurled tighteners are good to get a solid grip on.The angle adjustment is stiff, but not too stiff, just enough to feel really positive in terms of positioning. It doesn't flop about in the slightest even with a load of weight on it, and locks solid with the wing nut adjuster.Overall I'm really impressed, it feels like a premium bit of kit. A definite 5 star for me.
