40X-5000X Portable Optical Microscope for Schools, Students, Beginners, Kentfaith Compound Microscope with 4X, 10X, 100X Eyepieces, Phone Holder, Fill Light
SKU: GW45.0063
The attached images are 40 x (10x4), 100x (25x4), 250x (25x10) and 5000X (25x40) of a leave, respectively.
I use some high-end microscopes in my work and didn‘t expect much for this “toy". Well, it turns out to be a surprise. The image quality is not bad for general use, and I'll suggest don't use the 40x objective for thick samples like a leave which will be very dark. (but still good for a very thin layer of onion).
I hope it can come with a couple of glass slides so that I can mount samples on it and I'd like to pay a few more $s for it. I have to use a plastic plate at this moment.

We have so far only looked at a couple of things in this microscope; a small flying bug placed on a slide, and a drop of blood (I cut myself doing some home improvement projects, so captured a drop on a slide). This microscope does a fine job of allowing us to view these things up very close. I‘m definitely glad I got this version with the fine-adjustment knob included rather than the less expensive version with only the coarse adjustment knobs.
The microscope itself feels solid and well-made. The 3-element rotating assembly works well and is nice and tight. The LED under-light works well with a nice smoothly adjustable brightness level. The stage is stable, with useful slide clips, and adjustable light aperture disc located underneath. This unit works equally well on battery power as with an AC adapter; for my purposes I'm sure we will only ever use it with batteries. The microscope also comes with a nice dust cover to protect it when not in use, and a secondary eyepiece to provide additional magnification when desired. At the highest magnification level with the more powerful eyepiece, the LED light does struggle to provide sufficient lighting, but you can still make out details on your subject slide well enough.
Honestly, at this price, I am quite happy with this purchase. I wish the LED light was capable of a bit more brightness, but for most purposes it works pretty well. The scope is sturdy and feels like it will last quite awhile. I also wish it had come with a better storage sleeve for the additional eyepiece. Even better still if the microscope had a place to store the extra eyepiece, or came with a storage case, but I'll make do. Overall, it should work great for showing my young daughter the interesting and amazing world of microscopic viewing.

This is not a professional microscope but it is above a toy .If you want to take a quick look at lower magnification it works great. The highest magnification is useless . Can never achieve focus at highest magnification . The subject will hit the lens and never be in focus. For what it is and being all metal and the price I like it.

wasn't expecting much from it at the current price point, but I just wanted to get something my kids could use as an educational alternative to a wasted summer in front of the TV. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the set is. The optics are way better than I expected, it features both a top and bottom light and it even comes with several examples of things to look at. I would definitely recommend it to anyone buying something for their kids or just for casual use.

One of the reasons I got this is to show my daughter the wonders of things we can't see with the naked eye. She is 3.5 years old and her curiosity is growing day by day. Almost every day, after our first "game" with the microscope, she asks me to do some science experiments. So, “Dad, can we do science experiments today?” is her daily question. It's effortless to set up and use. I have attached some pictures I took with the phone mount but compared to these pictures they are clearer in person. Also, I don't use the 2x multiplier as it doesn't add any value to the images for me. So I only used the phone mount once to take these pictures. I am satisfied with this microscope and I believe it will help my daughter a lot.

bought this for my daughter for her science class. It's really easy to set up and use. We love it and recommend it. It's well worth the money and we also love the case it came in.

I'm a student and very curious about everything. This one had 30 different slides that I could look at. The detail was great. I usually use 4x magnification first, set the right angle I want to focus on, then move on to 10x magnification and finally 40x magnification when I want to zoom in to the maximum.

This is an excellent microscope kit that includes everything you need to start exploring the microscopic world. Both children and adults can use this microscope. It's a good size and made of solid materials. Focusing is easy and a clear image emerges. The LED light is well suited for illuminating the sample to be enlarged. It is very stable and easy to use. The kit includes starter slides, a phone adapter for taking pictures and videos, a power adapter and a great carrying case that keeps everything neatly in place. It is a compact set that is easy to carry. The overall quality of the microscope and the accessories that come with it is good. I have no problem with this microscope and my children like to play with it too. It is an excellent microscope, exactly as described.

I'm a beginner and still learning how to use a microscope, but so far it has met all my expectations. I mainly use it on fish and have looked at things like diseases and scales. Great microscope

This microscope is aimed at younger students but we found the quality to be premium and felt durable rather than seeming like a toy. The microscope worked well and we found the image to be quite clear. The slides provided were much appreciated and are very similar/fairly identical to the other microscopes we have tried, but much appreciated. Very good for home use!
