K&F Concept 3-Way Geared Tripod Head CNC Process Aluminum Alloy, High-Precision Fluid Head Load Capacity up to 13.2lbs/6kg,for Photography Equipments
SKU: KF31.047
This is a high quality product with great functionality. It works very smoothly and is much more precise than a ball head.
The load capacity is fantastic as is the build quality and price. I have 100mm QR plates therefore I do not use the original QR plate on this head.(The original plate is too small for me)
Overall its a fantastic tripod head for lanscape /archtecture/ general photography. Highly recommanded.

Using a ball head, the focus of my scene was an old shop the square edges needed to be right, but it was tricky to get the 3 axis exactly where I wanted them.
So, I researched and the K&F geared head was my favourite. The orange was the same colour as my L bracket, the price was reasonable so I bought it.
Now, to get my levels is a piece of cake, I don’t know how I managed for so long with a ball head ( and my ball head was a beautiful thing ) It sits on my CF Manfrotto and is still a lightweight kit. I recommend this to anyone who is shooting landscapes/architecture etc, you won’t regret it.

I bought this to replace the ball head I had been using. I like this better than the ball head. I don't think I'll ever use a ball head again since my cameras are a little bit heavy. I am very satisfied with the K&F Concept product. Very well made and is working well for me. Very stable and can make very fine adjustments. Perfect.

Perfect or almost. It works wonderfully with it. It is sturdy, yet light at the same time. It has no slack (unlike Manfrotto) and very precise when it comes to adjusting. I have a catch, quick unlocks are a bit hard and not very ergonomic. Otherwise highly recommended.

So much better than a ball head.
This one is all metal build so it feels super durable.

This does everything you expect it to. Solid. Independent fine adjustments. Compact. Arca compatible. 48 turns per 360 degrees, or 7.5 degrees per turn, this is great for easily keeping track of astronomical objects etc. There is a hint of back-lash, but that's easy to workaround, adjust back a little and go again. The centre of the top plate mount is not above the base axis, which would have been nice, but I solved that and rotated the arca clamp to my preference by adding a QR50 and PU70 bolted together at 90 degrees.
Is it perfect? No. But it's very good indeed, a pleasure to use.
