My husband has the Coolpix p1000 camera and a tripod that he places it's on when looking through the telescope at the Moon. He's been needing something like this to place the camera on to where it's level, especially when looking up at the moon or planets. I'm a big fan of this high quality, precision-made ball-head camera mount. The knobs are large and easy to tighten and loosen, the head rotates smoothly and everything about it feels quality. The Arca style quick release has a flip-up handle on the bottom so you don't have to go fishing for a quarter to tighten and loosen the mount onto your camera.The size is perfect for small compact cameras up to medium sized DSLR's.Bottom Line: Nicely finished, precision ball-head. Very smooth action in all directions, tightens securely with a 1/2 turn. Highly recommend!

Another great product from K&F Concepts! Almost everyone needs a solid ball head for there kit and K&F delivers with this one. The packaging is simple and professional, nothing extra there. The ball head itself is well styled with the traditional K&F coloring.Functionally, there is the rotating base that locks, the ball head itself and the Arca-swiss style plate (included) that fits into the attachment point at the top of the ball. A well placed level lets you set up level shots and keep perspective on your ball head. The base and the ball head rotate smoothly with no sticking and lock in position very tightly without issue. I am using a Z9 with larger (heavier) primes and this had no problem holding that rig stable.I have no negative points or compromises with this at all. Excellent ball head!

Perfect for my application. Wanted a simple quick release mount for my monopod. Very well built, smooth, compact and great value. Would recommend a would buy again.

I have a Dolica Carbon Fiber tripod that I've owned for years who's ball head decided to get sloppy and just wear out. There are a ton of options out there, but this ball head had solid reviews across the board and was priced well.Some of the reviews mention plastic and lower quality feeling construction, I can say with 100% certainty, theews none of that in the unit I purchased and received. This is solid and well made with nicely machined aluminum components. The best part, it was a direct fit replacement, not too wide or narrow at the base.I would highly recommend this brand and specific ball head to anyone who is in need to freshen up a tripod or complete one purchased as legs and head separately.

EDIT: I wrote to costumer support and they sent me a new one, working properlyI dont know if I got a faulty unit, but the ring ay the base of the ballhead gets loose and can use it with my lenses.

It is a great quality and works better than my manfrotto ball head that came with my tripod. Worth while if you want better range of motion out of your tripod. Is a must have in my opinion.
