I use the microscope camera to create beautiful plant photos. I use a strong flashlight as a light source to record the flower parts in transmitted light. I don't always succeed in operating the very small record button, because the object changes with the slightest touch. Removing the memory card is a chapter in itself.

Very clear camera, clear picture. Focus is conveniently placed. Has 2 light shields for glare control. A height knob for picture adjustment. Platform could be bigger. All aluminum construction. Only real problem is it is WAY too close to the circuit board. The picture shown in the sales page is very misleading. You might only see 1 it 2 resistors in frame. My suggestion is to purchase an extension tube for the camera to get a decent picture which in my opinion, should have been supplied with the kit. Lights are bright and easy to use. Remote control is useless unless you are recording what you're repairing (YouTuber) otherwise, great for the price

Purchased for my 90 year old father to use for coins he has been collecting for years and he has no problem using it.

This is so much fun. The only downside is at 1200x you’re teased with a super close-up, but not at “microscopic” level. There are other digital microscopes in the same price range which go to 6000x and I’ll prob get one.

This is a USB-powered LED dual-fixture light, with two separate gooseneck lamps connected to a very sturdy table clamp. It comes with a 5V 1A 5 watt AC adapter (like you might have gotten with an early iphone or usb ipod). I plugged it into a trade show battery pack's 1A slot and it did fine on that as well. It can draw an extra watt or so if you provide a 1.5/2A source. You can choose to have one, the other, or both light heads on. The remote has power, light selection, and brightness for the selected lights. It would also make a reasonable lamp for a desk, perhaps with the clamp attached to your monitor or monitor stand. I expect with my next desk I'll do something like that to enable photo and video lighting on the desk surface for future reviews and videos. No complaints so far.

This is not my first digital microscope by any means. but I have to say that it's the best that I've had yet! Without comparing this model to the interim units, I'll compare it to the first one I ever bought. That one was a hand-held USB-connected model. It didn't have a built-in screen like the Opqpq, but rather connected to a PC or a smartphone/table with OTG capability. At the time it was amazing, but by today's standards it had a pretty low resolution and always required that wired tethering to another device in order to be usable. This Opqpq Digital Microscope is light-years ahead of that older model. FIrst of all, the resolution of it is amazing! The old one topped out at 640X480 DPI, but this one allows capturing video at 1920X1080, or still shots at 4023X3024! Secondly, it can be used completely wireless and standalone, because it's battery powered and has its own screen built-in. I'm not sure what the resolution of the display screen is, but it's super-sharp and large enough to allow comfortable viewing of the scope's images. The internal battery is rechargeable, and the microscope can even be used while charging. It uses a single atandard 18650 Lithium-Ion cell which is easily replaced, so even if you are working in an area without convenient access to an AC outlet for charging the battery or plugging in the scope; if you deplete the charge you can simply swap the cell out for another one and keep right on working.Besides the LED lights built into the scope itself, the base also has two additional LED light sources mounted on goosenecks for positioning as needed to get just the right illumination you need. The base gets power from the scope head via a coiled cord that connects the two units. The base lights and the scope lights can be set independently to a brightness level appropriate for what you are viewing, which is a nice feature. There is also a wireless remote that's connected to the same cable that carries power from the head to the base. The remote allows access to the functions that are also accessible on the scope head, so technically you don't NEED the remote, but it's certainly handy for taking snapshots of what you're viewing; to avoid introducing vibration view in the image that might happen by snapping a picture from the button on the head. Some reviewers of this unit have commented that you can't zoom out enough to capture an image of an entire coin (since these types of devices seem to be very popular with coin collectors), and that is certainly true, although I think it's a common malady of most of the comparable scopes out there. But you can capture a close-up image of an entire coin with most cell phone cameras nowadays, so I don't think this is a huge limitation. But when you need to get a close-up of some features of a coin, this scope is great for that: giving you a bright, clear, high-resolution image on a large screen of something that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to see with the naked eye.I think this scope is an excellent and useful tool, and something that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and interests to explore the realm of the tiny for fun, education, and profit.

This is the most awesome thing that I have ordered in a long while. I couldn't of gotten any better of a product anywhere else. Thank you for a great product ..

This microscope is being used in the Science lab at our school. It is very simple to use. Assembly was very easy and took less than 5 minutes. The instructions were easy to understand and we were quickly up and running and using the microscope. The Screen is a perfect size and nice and bright. It has a large viewing area and is very easy to operate to get it focusing and zooming in on the desired object. There are two light sources, a top and bottom. The microscope led lights are adjustable, allowing you to set them to the desired level of illumination. This microscope has been a great addition to our schools science lab.

This is really great. Although I wish they had a battery source for both lights. The frame seems a bit light, I think if it were a bit heavier it would give the feel of a high end digital microscope. I agree, it's not like I'm going to throw this around like a football.

This double gooseneck light can be quite handy for soldering, sewing, small crafts, a fixed reading light, or other uses where you need a focused light attached to a table/desk. The ability to move two lights independently, as well as brightness controls helps. It doesn't get super intensely bright but helps brighten up an area where you are focusing or working.Note that I now have it connected to a much larger USB power source. A common cell phone power charger may not really be sufficient. The mounting clip has a sparkly elastic wrapped around both pieces. I have no idea why it's there. It doesn't seem to have a purpose. If the sparkling ribbon is to make it "fancy", then I give it an "E" for effort....Overall, it's good. As long as you have a 6-watt or higher power supply, I would recommend.
