needed a cheap, lightweight (similar) tripod for a sudden trip as I had to walk quite a bit and this seemed to fit well. The head pivots easily, is easy to adjust and locks firmly into place with no issues. The plate mount is Arca-Swiss compatible so I had no trouble swapping plates on all my gear which was a bonus. The legs insert quickly and lock very securely. They are relatively robust for the small cross-section. Some reviews mention that the tripod isn't very stable, and when the center tube is fully extended with a heavy lens/camera I can confirm that there is some (albeit relatively minor) wobble. However, I had small problems with smaller MFT devices, especially when the tube was lowered. Using a guy rope and attaching the tripod via the spring hooks kept the tripod stable in high winds on the side of a very exposed mountainside. I haven't had time to use the tripod for any length of time so I can't confirm its long term durability but I'm fairly confident that it will withstand reasonable abuse no doubt time will tell. Is it as good as my Manfrotto? Of course not, but it's less than 1/5 the price and 1/3 the weight, I would buy one again if it ever got stolen.

I've gone through dozens of tripods. Using it for both work and the hobby of photography, this is one of the best tripods I've had. Works great, light weight and the carrying case is very nice.

This tripod convinced us with its lightness, really very light, it is ideal for those who plan a lot of trips and want to take this tripod with them everywhere, its super compact size makes it the best friend of bags, backpacks and hand luggage. Excellent folding handle that allows a comfortable grip for short trips without having to store the tripod and thus always have it ready for use and without always having to fight your legs to find a comfortable grip. This tripod makes readiness one of its key features, as the clip-release legs, which we prefer to screw-on legs, makes it very quick to set up, from closed and stowed in the backpack to fully open with the machine in position in less than 30 seconds, you will never miss a moment again.

Love everything about the tripod. Exactly as described. A little heavier than I thought. The application requires some practice, but is still highly recommended.

have been using it with the original 5D for a few days. The tripod goes a lot higher than expected. There is a spirit meter. The ball is metal. The tripod mount is compact and feels strong. I couldn't test it in wind though.
Good one for beginners

recently moved back to America from Japan and had to leave a lot of stuff behind, Including a Manfrotto tripod so I needed a new tripod to sell some things to help me get back on my feet. I looked at geekoto and some other brands and they're all pretty much like this one except they either had plastic where I didn't want plastic or it wasn't clear where the plastic on the tripod is. Using the Manfrotto for years, I at least know where I like there to be metal and this K&F unit has a cast aluminum mount and ball and it's all very smooth.Likes:Ball head: is solid and smooth. I would have preferred a toggle over a screw for the quick release plate.Legs: well they're legs, the aluminum feels solid. The also have stabby things at the bottom if you remove the rubber feet. Some one mentioned the locks for the leg extension were unfinished and sharp. Mine are comfortable to use.Column: Not too much to say. It does it's job. All the locks have comfortable rubber grips. Someone mentioned the column will collapse if pushed down on. That's true of mine too but I have to make an effort. It's not something that's happened during normal use.Portability: was not a selling point for me but it's nice to have the optionMonopod: also not a selling point but another nice to have the option. I've never used one before but now that I have the option I might.Bag: not a selling point, but it's a nice one if the zippers stand up to use, aka not YKK zippers.Dislikes:Legs: the spring-loaded locks for the top leg extensions seem weak. On lock solidly clicks into place, the other two are kinda, meh. This might not bother you but it makes a difference to me when setting the tripod up in the dark. The audible clicks tell me where the legs are set. Conclusion: Ball head is solid. With the exception of the leg locks not clicking solidly/audibly, into place, the unit is well built, uses high quality parts and is enough for what I want it to do and looks like it's versatile enough that I might try some stuff that I wouldn't try otherwise.
I'm not a photographer but works good for me

needed a tripod I could fit a camcorder-size device on top of, yet with minimal room, I knew I'd still have to wedge it into the corner of the room, in and around other electronics. This tripod is working perfectly, as the legs adjust out to nearly perpendicular, and at a variety of heights. Other tripods I've had like this are always missing something, like a bubble/level, but this one has that too! It also breaks down to an extremely compact size for transport. Exactly what I was looking for!
