I cannot get it to work good. After one minute it goes into the sleep position with the phoneThe Inception mode does not work, you click three times like the manual says or the Youtube tutorials show and nothing happens. It says that you need to click twice to get it to sports mode, well, for same reason mine is 3 times. At this point I'm sending it back

I bought this as well as a DJI Osmo Mobile 2. After a week of testing, I found both to be comparable in terms of smoothing my videos using my iPhone XS, which was the main reason for this. Here's my thoughts compared to the DJI Osmo Mobile 2. As you can see, the CONS are much higher with the DJI, and when I factored in the PROS of the Moza, I find it a better gimbal overall.MOZA Mini-SPro:1. Trigger - made switching between the various modes a breeze. This was the main reason I kept to Moza.2. Portability - packs a bit smaller than the DJI.3. Could charge my phone while using. I can't figure out how to do it with the gimbal, but I could just put a battery charger in my pocket and snake out a cord up to the phone and it'd work fine.4. Accessories - comes with a little cloth case, as well as a tripodCon:1. Motion tracking sucks unless using for selfies. This is probably more of a software issue than hardware issue though, so this barely makes the con list. Either way, it cannot be relied upon. This isn't really an issue for me as I don't plan on using this feature.2. Range of motion compared to the DJI is slightly worse.3. Phone holder brackets that extend out are plastic, where DJI's are metal.DJI Osmo Mobile 2Pro:1. Better software2. Phone holder bracket that extend out are metal.3. Lighter than Moza, but only ever so slightly.4. More range of motion, but only ever so slightly.Con:1. More expensive2. Have to buy more accessories3. Stabilization no better than the cheaper Moza.4. More bulky5. Build quality not much better than Moza.6. Cannot charge my phone while using7. If phones continue to grow larger, I'm worried that it may not fit. It's a snug-fit with my wife's iPhone 8 Plus.8. No trigger9. Cannot see the LED to know what mode it is in when shooting in sunlight. I frequently had to tilt the gimbal up to know if it was in a tripod setting or not, which didn't look good in my footage.10. Have to flip a digital switch located within a menu to lock the up and down movement, but not the side-to-side movement. This is all super-simple to do in the Moza with the trigger.

1. Portability/Convenience: With the foldable feature, the Moza Mini-S is pure gold. Having the capability of folding it into half, I was able to put this in any of my bags and have it with me all the time.2. Build: Feels solid and sturdy on hand which makes it comfortable to grip on.3. Features: Comes with all the basic features and also the inception mode which is perfect for cinematic videos! Easy to switch from landscape to portrait mode too.4. Room for improvement: Instructions manual included was useless as it did not contain much information. Also, if you want to use additional lens on your phone, the gimbal might not be able to support the total weight.BUT IN SUMMARY, I feel this gimbal is definitely a good purchase if you are looking for a light, portable and easy to use mobile gimbal!

I am very satisfied with this gimbal. It is lightweight, foldable to very compact size, and most importantly it is at a cheap price. The motor axis lock feature and the power sleep mode are very useful, I can put the gimbal to rest whenever I need. It works well with my big screen phone Huawei Mate 9. The silent trigger at the back is good. The 3.5mm cable allows me to use gimbal with my other favourite camera app, without the need of pairing bluetooth or default app, this means it saves battery life. Well, I will definitely explore more on the genie app for more designed functions.Overall, I highly recommend this gimbal. You surely can't go wrong with this.

I really looked forward to using this gimbal since it's purported to have great features: small, light, foldable to a compact size, able to accommodate phones up to 88mm in width, plus a copious assortment of fantastic features: pan/tilt mode, sport mode, inception, etc. However, before I even turned it on, I ran into the first showstopper: the clamp will not accommodate my phone. In fact, it looks like it'll have trouble with any phone that's thicker than about 5 mm.The clamp has square notches on either side into which the sides of phone should fit (see photos). But those notches are less than 5 mm. Sure, if I tilt it, one edge of my Nexus 6 will fit in one side, but then, because the back of my phone is not flat, there's no way the other edge will fit into the opposite notch.I did manange to jury-rig it so that my phone is held by the clamp with neither edge in its respective notch. But then, because of the spring pressure holding the clamp closed, the phone is in a very precarious position: if either edge slips out of the clamp, the spring pressure will slam the clamp closed and pop the phone out with force. That happened to me twice, but fortunately I was sitting down and I could catch the phone in my lap - it's ejected way too fast to catch it by hand. If I'd been outside using the gimbal like it's supposed to be used, and the phone was was popped onto pavement, it's like *throwing* it onto the pavement ... bye bye phone.OK, suppose the clamp worked. But then the gimbal has another big problem: it inconsistently responds to your button presses. To change modes, you have to press a certain sequence of buttons a certain number of times. But the buttons do not positively "click", and so changing modes is hit or miss. This problem is compounded by the fact that the gimbal app DOES NOT DISPLAY THE CURRENT MODE. That's inexcusable -- not only is it hard to tell if you've pressed the buttons, but the app doesn't tell you if you've changed modes. So you're forced to try moving the gimbal and guessing which mode you're in :-(Can you imagine telling your talent to please standby, I'm trying to figure out what the &^*! mode my gimbal is in?Because of these faults, I'm afraid that the Mini-S will either cause me to break my phone, and/or be a total frustration when trying to use it. Not happy because I spent many hours trying to make it work :-((Thank you, amazon, for your accommodating return policy.

I've used the other moza gimbals before but I really like the Mini S.. It folds down so small I could put it in my hoodie pocket & almost forget it's there. So far from use the battery life is good too so that's a plus. It holds up my s10+ with no problem even with my life proof case on it.

Love this little gimbal! bought this to do some filming for my youtube channel! very easy to learn and works like it should. the product is lightweight making it nice to pack in the backpack plus its fold able so less space than other Gibmals out there! battery seems to last 6-8 hours as expected. the Moza genie app is really nice as well and connects well from phone to gimbal.great starting Gimbal for stable footage!
