At first, I had a flexible camera tripod and a second more sturdy aluminum tripod (for windy days and short hikes). Now I will be selling both, my aluminum triopod, although sturdy, was a pain to carry on hikes when I was trying to cut down on weight. And the flexible tripod, although lightweight was useless unless there was a branch or something similar to hang it from. Even then, I was nervously taking a photo, while hoping that it could support the weight of my very expensive camera equipment.
This, on the other hand, once strapped on my backpack I barely noticed it. Sometimes I found myself doing a double-take to make sure it had not fallen off. But do not let the weight fool you, this is sturdy, I live in Scotland and this could stand Scottish winds without a second thought. If I was in doubt I would just hang a weight from the hook underneath the center column. And boy is this tripod versatile, it gets incredibly low, high, the angles it holds, it is like watching a yoga instructor go from one position to the next effortlessly. The ball head is very smooth and the camera feels very safe and in place. Again what makes this outstanding is the price point for carbon fiber tripod. I have a mirrorless camera, so I generally like carrying less and now I do not have to compromise for utility for weight when going on hikes anymore.

This is an amazing tripod for most types of photography. It is beautiful to look at, especially with the candy apple red metal fittings and is solidly constructed. No cheap plastics or faux metal here. I bought this specifically for the transverse beam feature to hold my rather weighty D7000 and 105mm Micro Nikkor while doing macro photography. The only minor frustration was finding the transverse column (it wasn't detailed in the instructions) but I realized after watching an online video that it was neatly hidden away in the centre column. Everything about this tripod, even the handsome, padded carrying case exudes an air of quality (just remember to collapse the legs upward to make it fit in the bag!). This is my second K&F product -- my first was a flash -- and I can't say enough about their product quality and attention to detail. Some legacy brand names the photography world could certainly learn from this innovative company!

I had been watching it for awhile and after

Overall this tripod a phenomenal value, it rivals some double in price. It is sturdy, lightweight, and have a nice tight locking frame. Despite this, the instructions can be somewhat confusing at times and it is hard to get the full potential of the tripod as it has many configurations -- the configurations are amazing on this tripod and suitable for literally ANY situation. Some corners are cut in the feel of the plastic of the ballhead, but that is expected given the price point and it remains very smooth while operating. All things considered, I wouldn't hesitate with purchasing as at this price, it's top notch!

Manfrotto had their day for sure but the guys at K&F Concepts are killing it for build quality and value today. This one eats the competition for design and manufacturing. Milled to perfection, every screw and joint moves smooth and even the foam on the built in monopod feels pro. This is the one. Pay any more and I assure you it's just for the name and the legacy.

The ball head is just excellent quality there is a notch where the head just slips in to for easy vertical shots and the reassuring quality is there again in the way the head moves beautiful slow motion great when going pano shots and a handy marker on the head to let you know how far you've come round.
The monopod works really well the whole this is metal and carbon fibre construction.
Now i bought this item for the lightness of carbon fibre but the ball head is heavy which actually makes the tripod heavier than my old ally and plastic job this is the only thing that knocks this item i still recommend this tripod 10/10.

I ordered this tripod as I needed a lightweight, compact, sturdy travel tripod for my trip.
I read many reviews from several travel tripods and settled on this one.

I am so glad I did as this tripod is perfect, it’s so lightweight, compact and hardly noticeable when carrying for a full day.
It comes with its own bag included within the price. Some other tripods you have to pay additional price for the bag.
It folds down to such a small size and the weight is very light.
The tripod is sturdy enough to hold my Canon 5div and a 24-70 f2.8 lens.
The legs can be adjusted so it gets low to the ground for when I’m taking landscape photos.
The head of the tripod the middle section pivots so it can be angled over railings so you don’t miss that shot or get any unnecessary objects in the way.

My trip involved lots of walking up mountains, some very uneven terrain and some less than ideal conditions. Such as rain and wind, the tripod managed perfectly and that is why I’m giving it a 5 star review.
Just ensure when in heavy wind the tripod is setup correctly before attaching your camera.

Attached are some photos from a recent outing for sunset.

Really great for the price! I have no problems using the tripod indoors or outdoors. Very good purchase I can only recommend.

The tripod is well-made and sturdy, packs up very small and is a good option for a travel tripod. That said, I did find it a bit fiddly to use. The collet lock is hard to turn and gets in the way when you're folding up the legs. I returned it and bought a Manfroto that was more suitable for my needs, but not as compact. With the Manfroto there are only two knobs - the riser lock and the ball head lock, so this makes it so much easier to use. The K&F has a lot of knobs. Not a bad tripod for the money though, just not what I needed.

Very flexible, sturdy, smooth panning, tall, stable and cost-effective. In it's price range? A gem.

One thing: especially with any heavier camera: when using the exceptionally handy overhead option, make sure the center of gravity is still *inside* the leg angles. Too far forward with thoughtless leg placement, and the thing *will* tip.

I recommend watching a few videos of people using this tripod--it's capable of a few useful variations I would have never even considered, including things I'm not even sure the designer had in mind.

Bought this one because my old tripod is flimsy and at the end of its days. This tripod was pretty expensive so I debated for a while, but I really needed a sturdy professional tripod that I could take outdoors for shoots. It came with a nice shoulder bag so perfect for bringing outside, and it's not too heavy. I'd say even though the price is a little high, it's pretty worth it since the material is durable and you know it definitely won't break easily (unlike my old tripod...).

I bought this specific model so that I could convert it to a monopod at times, which is useful. However, it does take a while (and some thinking) to disassemble and convert to a monopod... it's not as easy as you think, so read the manual! There are so many different functions on this tripod so it was just a bit overwhelming. This was probably more so because I've never had a professional tripod before, just one of those quick and lightweight collapsible ones.

Overall, if you're looking for a durable, steady, and professional tripod this one's a good option. It'll definitely last more than a few years, unlike those flimsy collapsible tripods.
