This camera works out of the box once you have your AA batteries and an SD card (I am using a regular size 32 GB SanDisk card bought on Amazon for 9.99). It has survived wind and hail and takes very good pictures. The pictures are deleted by pressing a review then delete button on the camera or you can hook up the camera to your computer (or use a card reader) to view/delete. There is a 30 second count down function that allows you to set up the camera without causing it to take pictures of you setting it up (the motion triggers the photos). The pictures are surprisingly clear! There are 3 sensitivity setting and the first time I had it on high sensitivity it took 500 pictures, then only 25 better photos not the medium sensitivity setting. The camera is so easy to use that you don't need a lot of instruction to use it out of the box. I wish the viewing area on the camera was larger but downloading to your computer fixes that. Great camera and it will capture people and creatures in the area of interest with amazing detail in daylight or nighttime,

Be sure to re-format SD card each time you reinsert card. Also be sure to turn off before removing card, and make sure it is off when re-inserting card.

I bought this to keep an eye on some barn cats I rescued. It shows clear photos both day and night. Quite honestly this is the best web cam I've ever bought. It is easy to set up and use and easy to pull the scandk to view. I love it and would recommend purchasing it to anyone, in fact I already did.

I have had 3 of this type of camera and this is the best of the lot. Easy to use, set up format disc etc

The price was reasonable and so far the camera itself is working very well. Make sure to format your SD card exactly as the instructions say. Picture quality is excellent amd night vision pics are really clear.

I bought two of these for constant use at our remote property for security and wildlife. One camera is still working fine, the other will no longer turn on after 3 months of use with weekend downloads and battery changes.

The chip slot wore out after about seven insertions, and took multiple tries to get the chip to seat - now using only the (included) USB cord to transfer images. Have since seen WiFi based cameras at little extra expense. Difficult to aim, as the image is only visible with the cover open, and the camera is not on the part of the cover which has the tripod mount. Images are clear, and the motion sensitivity appears to be about right.

It usually does pretty good, especially during the day........... but....... yesterday I watched a deer fawn run in front of the camera and it took NO picture.

I use this camera for preseason scouting and so far I has taken great pictures
