It works well but the diminished video quality would make it difficult to pick someone out of a line up.

We had the Ring Doorbell but could not keep it connected to the internet, we would get notifications at all hours of the night saying it was running on cellular no internet detected. It was really aggravating. We even had our Internet increased to the best one but continued having this problem. This less expensive model works just as well without the headache. Easy to install and setup. Only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is that this one goes offline occasionally as well.

Not happy. I put it right where the prior doorbell was and where the wires exit the frame which is standard in terms of height of placement. The picture as you can see will not show the face of the person at the door unless they are 5 feet tall or stand back more than anyone would. Can’t move wires so I can’t raise it. I can’t believe that the manufacturer didn’t think of this. I have written manufacturer to see what they suggest but I may be sending this one back.

A great addition to my home security. No monthly fee. Add a micro SD card for recording events. Bought one for then in-laws too.

I like this video door bell, but we cannot get it to connect to our wiring so it actually rings.

I installed this camera in a rental home to monitor outdoor traffic. Connectivity is good, but I suggest if you don't want "skips" set to SD over HD. Chances are HD isn't really needed anyway.The biggest issue I have found is in the sensitivity settings as no matter what option I choose I get the same alerts every time a car passes by. I would assume low would be within a few feet from the door, but nope... I get plent of "dings" when cars drive by. A minor annoyance, but I adjust.Memory card added... I think it auto overwrites when full. I put a 64GB card in and it seems to run for 2 weeks before it gets close to full.2 way communication... good enough, but when remote it lags a bit.Overall... a good budget video doorbell and I dare say unless you want RING type features this is better than having a RING.
