Does not charge from USB-C power source
A notable deficit of this device is that despite having a USB-C connector, it will not charge from a USB-C power source (e.g., power adapter, laptop port). It only charges when plugged into an older USB-A power source, meaning you have to carry around a second cable, and adapter or power port.

I like the cable guides included for the power cable. The usb or a/c adapter is very cool. Would have prefered more illumination, but it is very adequate for the price.

Supports 3.5" HDD with external power adapter
This is really the best of both worlds. You can use the small adapter for SSD's and 2.5" HDD's without the external power supply. When you need to power 3.5" HDD or CD/DVD drives, you can plug in the included 2A 12V power supply.I tested with both a SSD and HDD. It preformed without any issues at full speed of the SSD. The external power supply powered the HDD and worked well.I also liked the integrated USB-C / USB adapter. As more things move to USB-C, I won't have to search for one.

Works! Note: USB-A power required.
This adapter works well, and the picture quality is surprisingly good!Be aware that:* it does get a little bit warm* The adapter REQUIRES POWER via a USB-A to microUSB cable. You'll need an available USB-A port to plug in nearby.I would buy this again.

Works perfect.
VGA laptop out > to HDMI < in - works perfectly! Also, a USB port is needed to power the VGA converter which was included. I recommend this adapter!

Good adapter, it seems to be only one that coverts from VGA to HDMI. You'll need a USB power source.

Nice
Great value for computer speakers, with innovative minimal design. I plugged the USB power cord into an AC adapter to keep the USB bus clear for audio.

Product works, but it costs you a USB port to use
The comments and description don't mention it, but you need to have USB port for this to work (for power?) VGA and a USB port are required for the adapter to function. If you have extra USB ports, then no worries, this works.

USB Power
Nice little speakers not only usb powered the audio in also is connected by the single usb plug. nice price too!
