Excellent recording, real-time monitoring could be better
This is a USB based studio mic that's mounted on a desktop stand. The mic can be swiveled in the stand to tilt forward or back as needed. The mic itself is solidly constructed... it feels very well made. The stand is similarly constructed and should sit firmly in place. Theres a headphone volume control on the front of the body, along with a mute button, and similarly positioned on the rear of the body is a polar pattern selector switch and a gain control for adjusting the mic's recording output. The pickup patterns available are:stereo, omni, cardioid and figure 8.I have some typical studio mice, but this is my first USB based mic, so I ran it through some typical trials to see how it fared. First of all, I found the sound to be accurate and with just the slightest "edge" - which seems to give it a slight touch of presence, especially in cardioid mode. Playing with tv he polar patterns, I could tell a bit of change in tone as I moved in close or away from the mic when in cardioid or figure 8 pattern - the effect is expected for these patterns and, though slight, were definitely there. Omni mode (picks up sound from all directions) did not show this effect (you would not expect it to). As for off axis rejection, I tried singing off to one side and then the other. Again, it performed as expected with no rejection whatsoever in omni mode. Rejection was minimal in cardiod and figure eight mode, though. (I would have preferred more). Also, in cardioid mode (signal is picked up directly in front of the mic only), I found the directional pattern a little wide. I like to use this mode specifically to isolate what's directly in front of the mic from the rest of the room. It works as it should, but I would have preferred it to be slightly more "directional". Finally, for stereo mode... this probably had the most impressive sound. It truly delivered a stereo sound... evenly balanced, with no dropout in the center. I even snapped my fingers on either side to see if it would pick up properly... it performed exactly as it should. As for sensitivity, it picked up the central heating unit fans in the background (just like a studio mic should), so some form of noise reduction would be called for (or turn off the hvac). Self noise did not appear to be evident - another specification that would have been nice for them to share (I dont even know if self noise is an issue with USB mics- this one didnt seem to have a problem with it). Most people that I know would be interested in things like diaphragm size... that kind of detailed technical information is lacking from any of the paperwork that comes with this mic. It makes reference to a three capsule head, which makes me assume theres 3 diaphragms in there with the pickup pattern selector turning them on and off as needed, but no other info is provided. All in all, I was impressed with this mic... it sounds good and has great versatility. It simply plugs into your computer's USB port and you're good to go (you may have to select the mic through your systems settings page). I think it would be ideal for any desk top application, podcasts, etc. It even has a screw in stand mount on the bottom. The only thing missing is some kind of a shock mount system, like a spider mount, or something), to shield it from noises that may vibrate through the desk to the mic. I suppose, sitting it on some foam would serve to isolate it.

Sticks to cap really well. Elastic fits NX lenses
Super sticky. Hard to get off when I decided I don't like using them. Good product, so 5 stars. I can't fault them for me deciding it's not how I want to deal with my lens caps after all. Also I was using them with NX mount lenses, and I found the elastic to be a good fit around them.

Fun in and out of the water!

This is a really fun camera that is basically an upgraded version of the classic waterproof point-and-shoot. If you've ever owned these cheap waterproof cameras before, you know they aren't the most user friendly buttons or the highest quality shooter- but they work and they take a beating and are fun to use in places you wouldn't use a bigger or more expensive camera. This actually has some pretty nice upgrades over the others we've tried. For starters, DUAL SCREENS! That's awesome because now you can take selfies by using the screen button to swap to the front display. Unlike a phone that uses a subpar lens in front, the nice thing about this is that you get the same quality photo regardless of which screen you use, the only difference is that you can see it in the front when selfie is activated. The photo quality is improved as well- Don't expect iPhone 13 or Google Pixel level HDR, and obviously not DSLR quality, but its as good as a basic phone if not better, definitely good enough to get the job done and take a decent picture. Close to GoPro quality in good lighting I'd say.The video format is now offered in 4k 30p, which is a huge upgrade to the weak frame rame and size our old version of this offered (I think it maxed out at 720 and a very choppy 10fps). Great for kids or adults who want a throwaround camera they don't have to worry about compared to a phone or much more expensive camera. I'm including a clip and a photo taken in a local hotel pool we tried it in. A lot fun.Note: The zoom is digital so you are better off just taking a full sized photo and then cropping it in post, no point in "zooming in".

Great for Macro pictures and more!
Being inside because of quarantine has made me more interested in hobbies like taking photos. I go hiking with friends every weekend and thought that maybe I could buy a lens that could help with my landscape pictures and macro pictures when I see little critters like spiders and lizards. Best purchase I’ve made so far this year!

Better than expected - EK7000 PRO
The media could not be loaded.

Received my EK7000 Pro on 7/23/2019. The package came in excellent condition. All of the accessories are there. Although I have not tried all of them, the tripod mount definitely works. I took some pictures and a video in a nearby park in mid-day as well as indoor under low light. I attached the outdoor pictures/video, so you can see the quality for yourself. The video was shot in 1080P at 30 FPS with EIS on. The pictures were taken with 16M pixel setting. I wanted to show the images with the lens set to super wide angle (170 degrees), wide angle and medium angle. The low light photo is on the poor side I would say. The camera automatically sets to 1/30 sec shutter speed, F-stop 2.8 and ISO 800 or 1600. At 1/30 sec shutter speed, one would need a steady hand or a tripod. I tried using the remote control to reduce the vibration, not much improvement. I think it is the high ISO that makes the image really grainy and blurry. I compared it against my DSLR at ISO 1600, 1/30 sec and F3, the DSLR picture is sharp as a tack, there is really no comparison ($1000 camera vs a budget $75 action cam, you get what you pay for). On the other hand, EK7000’s low light video seems to be pretty sharp. The audio quality is pretty good outside of the water proof case. The remote control works too, I tested it up to about 25-30 feet away. Another nice feature is the burst mode: 3 consecutive shots per second. The camera connected with the iSmart DV APP (on my Android phone) via WiFi, just follow the user's manual. I was able to control the camera from the APP. I can view the pictures and video files (sorted by time/date) captured on the camera from my phone and selectively download to my phone. Note: make sure your phone or tablet is connected to the camera’s WiFi, so the APP would work. Your phone most likely will not connect to the camera’s WiFi automatically. You need to check the WiFi Connection Setting on your phone every time you try to connect the camera to the phone.Because the camera does not have an internal battery or flash memory, the date/time setting will be lost when the battery is removed (when changing battery). Tech support suggested keeping the camera powered by external USB power source when changing battery to preserve the date/time setting. It works.I also suggest using a Class 10 Micro SD card. I ran into file time/date stamping and playback issue using a lower grade SD card. I can’t explain it. Customer suggests using Class 10.I observed one anomaly , the time/date does not advance even after 24 hours. I am checking with customer service.Customer service is very responsive. Kora responds within 24 hours and offers useful suggestions. I am impressed.

OUTSTANDING value and great performance (if you un
The LimoStudio Photography Photo Portrait Studio 600W Daylight Umbrella Continuous Lighting Kit is an OUTSTANDING value. I am very pleased with the performance of this set, and given the very low price point (~$45), I was not expecting it to be this good.WHAT YOU GETThe package includes TWO umbrellas, TWO approximately 7' tall telescopic/folding light stands, ONE approximately 3.5' tall telescopic/folding light stand, three 45W CFL bulbs, a fabric case for holding the bulbs, and a long fabric case for storing the stands when folded up.WHAT IT'S GOOD FORThis set is ideal for setting up an indoor portrait or video blogging studio. If you have a camera with a fast lens (f1.7 - 2.8), these lights are perfectly adequate for achieving a perfect exposure at ISO 200 and using normal film recording shutter speeds (1/60). If you need greater depth of field, have a slower lens (and are unwilling to raise to a higher ISO to compensate), or wish to illuminate groups of people (more than 3), the lights may be underpowered without additional supplemental lighting or swapping in a higher intensity bulb. The umbrellas do an excellent job of diffusing/softening the light, and creative positioning (moving them closer or further from the subject) gives reasonably good control over exposure results, reflections, etc.WHO SHOULD BUY IT- People who don't mind filming/photographing their subject matter with a mid-range (~50mm) or zoom (70+mm) lens. (Since the umbrellas need to be close to your subject to provide good light, wide angle lenses will require you to set up your camera very close to the subject to keep the umbrellas out of the frame.)- Individuals who want good lighting to improve the quality of their YouTube videos.- Parents who want to set up a small indoor studio for taking portraits of their children.- Individuals who want good, diffused area lighting for product shots or product review videos.- Anyone who wants an affordable lighting solution to make a small space (approx. 8' x 8') as bright as day, with nice diffused light (not harsh shadows).WHAT IT'S NOT GOOD FOR- People who want to film/photograph subjects using a wide angle lens while the camera is positioned more than three feet back from the illuminated main subject.- Large groups of people. I suspect you could use this to light a family of 5 for a portrait with everyone positioned in closely, but really, you need the lights close to your subject and for groups larger than 3, you'd be much better served (and less confined) with a brighter set of bulbs.- Strong directional lighting. Umbrellas diffuse light very well for pleasing colors and gentle sculpting (soft or minimal shadows); however, if you want strong directional lighting that can be controlled for more dramatic effects (especially for stronger and more directional shadows), you would be better served with a softbox setup.- Large spaces. At only 45W, you will need these umbrella lights to be within arm's reach (approx. 3') of your subject to get adequate illumination. If you're setting up a large studio or using a wide angle lens that shows more than a couple of feet of space to either side of your subject, you will find it very difficult to get adequate light while still keeping the umbrellas out of the frame.- Serious enthusiasts who plan to move this studio lighting often from location to location. While the construction/durability of this kit is plenty adequate for a dedicated studio or infrequent moves, it probably will not stand up to the added rigors of being packed up, thrown around, and moved from place to place on a regular basis.OTHER NOTESAt this price point, it should not surprise you that the stands are not heavy duty. That said, they are more than adequate to perform admirably well for years and years. Just keep in mind that the knobs and friction collars are PLASTIC so take care NOT to overtighten them. Also, handle the stands and umbrellas gently. If you don't abuse them or bang them around, I think you'll get a lot of use out of this kit.

Easy interface - Set it and forget it
The media could not be loaded.

Let me start by saying that the camera works. What doesn’t work is our luck at capturing wildlife on video. We set the camera up on a tree in our favorite forest spot, and it stayed there for three days without a single critter walking past it. So how do I know it works? Because it has no problem recording our dogs at home, and we even managed to catch a glimpse of a fox running though the yard one night. Now about the camera: Here are some pros and cons I’ve discovered so far.Pros:* Rugged* Sealed against water in screen and battery compartment* Ability to lock out functions using a 4-digit code* Good detection rate up to about 10-15 feet* Strap is easy to secure with a latching mechanism* SD-slot is behind weatherproof door* Two mounting options* Settings are stored in between battery changes* WiFi remote* Remote viewing with mobile appCons:* The lens-covers are plastic and scratch easily.* The USB connection is a mini-USB (not really used anymore)Observations:I’ve been using 2200mAh rechargeable AA batteries with the camera. With those batteries, it’s gone 72 hours on the highest resolution and sensitivity settings on the trail and still had power when we picked it up. The caveat is that we didn’t record anything so your mileage may vary. Perhaps using lithium batteries would yield longer times, but they tend to be expensive. The menu us pretty intuitive and even without going through the manual everything is pretty easy to figure out. The manual does help, but one thing we didn’t discover right away was that if you use a passcode, you’ll need to enter it before the camera becomes active. In other words, it won’t become active when set to “ON” if the passcode isn’t entered… Yes, learned the hard way.As someone else mentioned, the nicest thing about the camera is probably the ability to check the recordings via WiFi and the app. That way you don’t have to remove the SD card and mount it on a computer or mobile device.

What night vision??
Addendum: What has become of the second piece of the mount, the cylindrical spacer that puts the conical rotating mount further from the wall, which is indispensable when you're mounting the camera in a corner, to keep it from hitting the wall when you turn the mount to its maximum point? The mount needs work, as I've touched on in my original review, but now you're just going backwards, leaving this second part of the mount out of the package! Also, I was sent a second camera because of my original review, and I noticed there seems to be a heavier coat of lens coatings, so perhaps this will alleviate some of the issues with the infrared bleed off??Original review:The picture quality in daylight seems to be a lot better strangely, considering the specs are identical? The motion detection is still a crap shoot, picking up every small critter that roams through my yard, but missing trucks with trailers pulling into my driveway! I like the new way to open the back, except the stupid tool is going to get lost! The old way was pathetic! I wish they would change the way it snaps on to the swivel mount, because that's a crapshoot at best, and a piece of useless broken plastic waiting to happen! How about some sort of screw on?? But what is a big problem is the infrared light bleed off! Now this could be just as true for the XT and the XT2 as well, but that hasn't been an issue until now. I mounted this unit underneath my mailbox, but to keep traffic splash off of it, I constructed a little wooden enclosure to keep that from happening. Additionally it keeps people from walking by from seeing the camera there and messing with it, unless they are on my property and then it will pick up their presence and notify me. This enclosure covers left right rear and top (which is the bottom of the mailbox that I have it mounted to), with the bottom open for drainage and the front open for the camera, which is basically flush with the opening. Sure it's supposed to be waterproof, but do I really want every car going by splashing mud or soon to be frozen slush all over the camera for me to have to go out and clean off everyday? The answer is a resounding NO, which is why I built the enclosure, but unfortunately it somehow reflects the infrared light and puts halos around any distant lights. Owing to the fact that this is a distant overall view of my entire property, turning the infrared off is not an option, as it just gives me a black screen at night, with specular highlights of light bulbs. This was never explained or even broached as a subject by their crappy manual or online q&a! I had to figure it out myself by trial and error! But strangely this doesn't happen to the camera I've got crammed up into the ceiling corner of my garage? It's got walls close to it all around except for the front & bottom basically. What's the difference? Does it have to do with the angle? 45° versus 90° approximately?? How about some warnings and words of wisdom there Blink? Or some solutions? In the meantime I'm experimenting around with lining my enclosure with copper foil which is supposed to absorb infrared light, so maybe that will work? I'll find out whenever Amazon delivers my roll of foil at an additional expense, or maybe I'm just wasting more time and money! Maybe I should just send it back? Maybe this could have all been avoided if Blink would just offer the equivalent of a camera lens shield to slide over the camera body that doesn't reflect infrared... maybe??

A fantastic action camera, ticks all the right box
The media could not be loaded.

The camera arrived safely, and it comes nicely packed along with a good selection of accessories inside a well-illustrated retail box that’s nice enough for a gift. The overall manufacturing quality of the camera is very high; it feels well-made and quite durable (there are screws everywhere), it uses good quality materials throughout, the hinge on the door feels strong, the door itself has a good quality weatherproof seal round it, and the buttons have positive click when pressed. There is no area of this camera where I feel the quality falls short, it’s top notch throughout! The quality of the recordings is excellent, and you can tell it’s a premium camera. The videos are sharp, highly detailed, colourful and the auto focus stays on point. My only comparison I have is my older hero 5 and of course, this Ghost XL Pro is much better in every way. At maximum quality it uses about 450MB per minute and the camera can take up to a 256gb Micro SD card. The screen built into the camera is tiny but very informative and it gives you all the necessary information you need like the mode it’s in, recording time, space available, and the battery life. When it’s recording the screen backlight and status LED on the top change from green to red, both of which can be turned off. Pretty much all of the camera settings and features can be changed directly on the camera without using the app.The app is nicely designed, easy to use and you connect to your camera by joining its Wi-Fi network. You can change between all the different shooting modes, view the camera live, change every feature and setting, update its firmware, and view your previous recordings which you can then download to your phone. Unfortunately, the app fails to work properly if I start a recording, lock my phone (S22 Ultra) and then unlock it again; it just bugs out and refuses to connect back with the camera until I manually stop the recording. If I don’t lock my phone, I have no issues but this is no good when your recording for long durations, hopefully this will get fixed in the future! One of the features I love is the ability to turn it into a dash cam. You can set it up so it turns on and begins recording when you start your vehicle and if you’re using it on a motorcycle then the included waterproof power cable will allow you to keep the camera plugged when the weather is bad. The duration of recording can be set, and you can have it loop the recordings when the card is full. The camera is charged using its Type-C port and you can also plug it into your computer to download your files. It’s a very slow process to download your files whether you use Wi-Fi or a cable, with a cable the best download speed I can achieve is approx. 25 MB/s no matter what Micro SD card I use.Even though the battery can’t be swapped out the battery life is very impressive, and it should give you more than enough recording time for whatever activity you’re doing. At 4KUHD it should give around 4 hours of recording time from a full charge and up to 7 hours at 1080p.I love that you can rotate the lens to get the correct field of view no matter which orientation you mount the camera. A couple of fixed camera mounts are included in the kit, but you can purchase a variety of additional mounts to cover a multitude of different activities including a suction cup mount, helmet mount, a shoulder mount, etc. The camera can also be fixed to anything that has a standard size tripod-type mounting screw.I’ve uploaded a quick videolapse of the sky just to give you an idea on the quality of this camera, I slightly cropped the sides, but it’s taken in 4K, and it came out looking fantastic. I can’t wait to take it on holiday and get some wonderful sunset timelapses!Overall, I have so much to say about this camera and it ticks all the right boxes for me other than the slight issue with the app. This could easily compare to other more expensive brands and Drift Innovation have done an excellent job of making a feature packed action camera that represents very good value for money for what you are getting. It’s a product I’m MORE than happy to recommend and I feel it’s easily worth the full five stars, seriously consider this brand before buying your next action camera!
